The current lightarmor meta

lol, I meant light should get a CC nerf, while heavy cc is fine. You are saying heavy has a buff to CC already. totally different things.
Light should NOT master CC, it should master mobility and dmg.

Precisely this… This is my whole point in what I was saying as well. Each build has disctint strengths and weaknesses. If you trying to chase a light build in a heavy build, youre playing a losing game… thats literally not the point of it. You can do whatever you want of course, but you cant go around complaining that your build isnt perfect for every scenario. Thats kind of a stupid argument. Play your build to its advantages, not its weaknesses… idk what else to say.

Regarding the Light Armor Range Meta:
Yes it is annoying that you cant close distance to someone with a rapier and a bow and they get to hit you from safety. But you are wearing heavy, you can easily tank the shots away.

Now take the exact same situation for every light armor user that has to get in close range. Im personally playing BB/IG, where i have to get close to burst people. im nowhere nearly as tanky as a heavy armor. So take away/nerf my rolls and i will be an even harder time closing distance and killing their backline. Same goes for any any light melee. they would have no reason to play light anymore.

Ppl that are playing heavy or medium and crying that light is to mobile are crazy. Heavy/medium role is different than light and now it works as it should.

lol a good 90% of the threads on this forum page has someone or a few people arguing… One of those types of arguments where nothing gets resolved… or 1 guy get’s proved wrong but still wants to argue about it lolol

it comes from an unbalanced pvp game

plus LA melees can easily kill a heavy armor

heavy has no role, apart from damage sponge. There’s no advantage in mobility, damage, or CC. It can just survive 1 more hit, that’s all the role it has.

Heres a real-life example of some dudes rolling around in full plate mail from the 1650’s era

Instead of nerfing I think it’s better to buff heavy/medium armor instead.

So light armor has the range and mobility with it, coupled with damage. What does the medium/heavy armor have to offer?

My suggestion is a built-in mini freedom and resilience, and maybe longer CCs if they have heavy armor.

Sure give everyone dodge rolls. Then medium will be king. Oh wait it already is king in serious content.

Dont play it then? I mean if ppl still play it in wars it means it has its purpose.

3 bow shots? that wont even get the tank under 90% what are you even talking about.

People love to exaggerate.

Like most of AGS systems, the whole armor class stuff needs to be reworked.
When you enter pvp and 90% of the playerbase is using Light that means there is something fundamentally wrong.

I still use heavy because I’m stubborn like that.
The fact is; right now OPR/Arenas are just light users running every weapon they can equip.
Certain weapons should be locked to certain armor types.

Spear/bow: Medium
Light : heal and mages etc…
Heavy, Haxe.
This will never stop, and light will always be king.
I find it tedious and frankly annoying,
half the (burst) melee skills are to slow because by the time u hit the target they dodged halfway across the map.

Honestly, I dont know how they will fix it, but this isnt working.

Breakout rolls already a thing. Just need the pause after hop/duck in med and heavy.

Every time I throw on my heavy set, i play some and end up just shaking my head and throwing back on the light armor set. Its crazy how I become MORE survivable with the light armor than the heavy armor. Same exact stats and perks on both sets of armor.

Arrow regular and charged attacks should do zero damage to heavy armor users IMO.
