It would be great if a player of a certain rank, for example Recruit met with opponents of the same rank, at most one above. This would allow newcomers to enjoy the game in the arena desire to grow, knowing that at a higher rank will be waiting for stronger opponents. Now it sometimes comes out that (probably so it works) a group of experienced players in good armor beats up inexperienced and gets a reward for it. A Gold ranked player definitely plays better and is better dressed than a Bronze ranked player, why should they meet? It will only bore the newcomer. And the old-timers will quickly rise up doing grind and get bored agai
Ranking system would only work if arenas are cross server because queues will be way to long if not cross server.
But cross server will be only interesting if its lag free but at the moment they cant even garantue a lag free server and the performance overall + desync is just hilarious.
So in its current bad state of the game/server/enginge performance i think cross server is just a dream which means again that ranking system will just make you wait to long for an arena match.
But do you like the idea? By the way the arena between servers is a wonderful idea
An ranking system is always a good idea but first they need to stop matching premade groups against random solo players in arena.
A decent premade will destroy solo random players that have been thrown together in a match against them
What we need first is a separate queue for solo players and 3 stack premades.
I suggested here on forums way before arenas went live that we need to separate solo queue and group queue but again nobody listened.
Sometimes i even ask myself why i keep giving feedback on several things…
I started even asking myself why they dont think about such problems themselves before adding different content to the game.
Hey AGS you can hire me as a professional tester and i will make the game great.
As said this can only work as premade vs premade + cross server.
The ranking system is meaningless though. You can have a godly rank without even killing a single player.
There are a lot of games to stay on the rating, where you will never meet a pro player if you play poorly yourself. Yes, the team can pull it out, but this is a matter of chance. Only strong players benefit from its absence. I’m a rookie and I don’t play well, I know that I will enter the arena and the opponent will be strong, it will probably be a squad. Why would I go there in that case? If I know that all the strong ones have gone to gold and above and I will come across the same newcomers, it will be interesting to me. And when it’s interesting, a person plays
