I dont know what you guys are thinking. I have stuck through all these bugs, exploits and dupers…spending dozens and dozens of hours mining and jewelcrafting…collecting all the trophies, the gear, the food recipe…crafting hundreds of asmodeum rolling to finally get a legendary proc or two for myself…

And now you are seriously going to tell me that you are going to reduce the effectiveness on it to the low 500s to match the non existing jewelry watermarking in this game? There are only a couple select BOSSES that drop jewelry. They dont drop from mobs or chests, so for jewelcrafting more than anything, this is devastating.

You guys are honestly insane if you think any jewelcrafter who went through what I did is going to keep playing this game if these changes go through. I already warned my company to prepare for my departure this month (and I am a consul, lol). Others in the company have also said they would be quitting.

Good luck with this idiocy, you are going to need it

EDIT: Yes I am aware they are adding “gypsum”. That is beside the point. The fact they are trying to make me use this new item just to get my own items effectiveness RETURNED TO ME is outrageously offensive.

EDIT AGAIN: ALl this talk today on this and I realized why wait? This will be the first time a patch gets me to quit a game before its even released but here we are. Im done. I will still check out forums though because this ride is insane.

the items GS wont be reduced, it just wont be as effective and when you lvl gsc it will go up with you as well. It just will lose a tiny bit of effectiveness for a while which is totally fine in my opinion. (like 0.5% on some perks and some stat points) You will get the option to do more areas and you can specifically choose which gear you want to upgrade first + you will get some random gear score upgrades still. Overall this will speed up the process a little and reward people more to do PVE.

The GS isnt what I am worred about, the effectiveness is. I should have communicated that better.

are you doing some pve content like dungeons/elite areas etc. ? They introduced so many new options and you probably already have some gear score, so you just need to craft that gsc upgrade for a few days to be back up on it + you will also get better jewelry drops.

i don’t think it’s as bad as people make it out to be. I m more hyped for the events and upcoming changes than concerned. I understand your frustration though, I also have 200 Engineering, Arcana and Furnishing. (yay i can craft furniture and trade it again lol)

I think if you spend gypsum on just increasing jewelry, by the time January rolls around you will likely be near 600.

Jewellery WM’n from drops is already absolute cancer and sure the new system lets you choose to focus on that, ONCE A DAY.

Nobody knows the values yet but knowing AGS’ love for grind im going to guess the guaranteed’s are just +1, in which case it would take you 100 days just to focus 1 piece up to 600.

For a system that is totally pointless, i dont understand why the WM system even has to exist, Destiny 2 has the exact same system and its very tiny player base even hates it.

Could literally copy any other mmo’s gear system and it’d be better than this.

Ghost what do you not understand? You can do a million chest runs and watermark farming, but how exactly do you up your watermarking for jewelry if it lierally doesnt drop from mobs or chests?

do we know how much the rocks are going to increase the hwm by?
if its something insulting like 1-5 then yeah this is BS
i dont think it will be super bad if its in the 10-20 range.
you could conceivably grind out a good chuck of your sets in a month or two or less since you are naturally water marking as you collect gyp.

im hoping its the later

Just think about this. In essence, they are making us regrind gear we already spent ample time into getting. People should seriously be outraged over this. I dont understand how more arent.

right. its a slap in the face to anyone that decided not the follow the zerg pattern of farming hwm.

it screwed everyone over that didnt play the “correct” way in game that you could do anything in.

im choosing to be disappointed over being furious. its forced additional grind and asg should of been better.

I dont want to have to “pick” ANYTHING that makes me regrind for things I already have man. Im not supporting this insane shit, and I wish others would join me. Its just that. Its insane that they think players will stand for this.

@Coded I’m with you, I had completely glossed over the JC aspect related to these changes, I was prepping to grind out Void Gauntlet “Expertise” but now I realize literally all of my jewelry (of which I have shelled out a crap ton of gold on the market) is going to be down in the low 500s versus the 590+ pieces I bought. I think @desubot made a good note if its in the 1-5 increase range & limited to 1 item daily, spending 2 months daily grinding dedicated to getting my amulet Expertise up …I might just take some time away from the game. **To those who haven’t grinded Jewelry Gearscore…it’s not a fun time.
