C’mon guys, the problem with weapon balance is so easy to spot!! people already said many times in replies to posts and never get heard!
The real problema was and still is THE HUGE GAP IN DAMAGE MITIGATION FROM LIGHT AMOR TO HEAVY ARMOR!!
No caster should ever got nerfed, healers shouldn’t ever got nerfed… it would be so easy to just even out the armor differences!!
Make it that light armor defense is something like the medium, the medium a lil higher and heavy a lil lower of even the same as it is… but survivability from the light should be viable and not a perfect kite or 2-3hit killed by anyone be melee or ranged.
Yes healers in heavy was really power, they nerfed us, and i am one, nerfed a lot, but healing in heavy armor still a LOT better than in light… medium is ok as always was. But people still cant kill me 1x1 unless they a really good player that knows how to use the ccs perfectly, dont miss any and i dont dodge or block any, and they use the right weapons… yes some weapons are really deadly to healers in any armor, even before the nerf… just need good players that kown how to use it… just to name one, Spear is a healers murder in the right hands, and always was!
Well, to make it short as i already lost the focus and wrote a lot about my healing class nerfed bady and my dps offclass got exterminated (fire staff) by nerfs that wasnt needed at all!!
The problem lies in the ARMOR DAMAGE MITIGATION GAP BETWEEN LIGHT AND HEAVY ARMOR!
Heavy armor mitagate far too much damage, even more since the game mechanic of blocking simply nulify damage blocked… in pve it may work, but would work the same way if it mitigated a lot more, we would still be able to heal them, just would make a tank know better how to spend the blocks on the right times and block the huge dmg… heal is easy on pve even with the nerf if tanks do the job well and dps know their roles. random is a nightmare and always was hehe
Well, FIX IT, BALANCE THE WHOLE PVP IN ONE SIMPLE FIX!! CLOSE THE GAME ON THE DIFFERENT ARMOR TYPES DAMAGE MITIGATION!!
THE EASIER ROUTE IS JUST RAISE LIGHT ARMOR DMG REDUCTION TO MEDIUM, MEDIUM TO HALFWAY TO HEAVY AND KEEP OR EVEN LOWER HEAVY A LIL, AND KEEP OR EVEN RAISE A LIL SOME DMG THATS LACKING LIKE THE AFTER NERF FIREMAGES.
IF YOU KEEP LIGHT AT IT IS, LOWER MEDIUM TO HALF WAY AND HEAVY TO MEDIUM, AND LOWER DMG ACCROSS THE BOARD, THAT IS THE HARDER WAY TO DO IT.
Just my 2 cents, and i believe its really easy, and its jumpin on everyone faces since day one, the problem is HEAVY ARMOR TO MUCH BETTER ALL AROUND THAN OTHER TYPES!! Other ones bonus simply aint enough to make them better than heavy for long term survivability.
Light and medium bonus are only usable, in a really really well balanced and organized war/ops party/group with really well defined roles, like healing and dps flanker protection, heavy healer still needed for point taking no matter the setup, and so on… medium and light may be viable on well playerd and organized group pvp, but still not NEDDED the way it is.
