someone above explained it. Basically they want you to be able to achieve close to 35 points of expertise PER orb meaning 37x 7 is 259potentially if your RNG is clean. would be faster then what most people who did the old method did that also includes jewelry
-propose a bunch of backward and potentially disastrous changes
-get destroyed by the community instantly, reverse them all immediately
-still don’t acknowledge stealth nerfs in the notes, meaning there could be more
-get praised by the brainlets anyway

On a serious note, what about every other issue? Dead server (GL crafting a pattern when T5 doesn’t exist on your server lmao), merges nowhere to be seen, crafting still being huge RNG fiesta, easily abusable report systems (as seen recently with Jmanspook dude), tremendous lag once you’re in Rush/Invasion including rubberbanding, new players (not like there’ll be any) losing on every single of these changes and getting left behind.

Having something taken away from you and then reluctantly given back to you isn’t really a win.

Yes. I was very happy to hear that they actually listened to the players/crafters and re-thought the expertise mechanic. I am very happy with this change and the fact that all my toil to craft 530+ ilvl gear will not have it’s due reward reduced in order to encourage a secondary grind.

Same here, I’ll eat crow for some posts I’ve made over the past few days. They did listen and came up with a good compromise. Now my voidbent that I spent way too many hours farming for is still useful. I just need to decide whether to grind my weaponcrafting/jewelcrafting up to 200 now, or pve farm to raise expertise. Love having the choice though!
its a win for wallet warriors and pay2win losers. This is a horrible change for anyone playing the game legit.

You can at least do the crafting casts. while doing the other things so do some of both. Yes I like the choices. Having options is always better than not having options.

The New system Hits early 2022. Most People will have GS 600 or Close to that anyways Till the patch Hits.
I’ll probably need 2-3 More Weeks, No reason to wait. “Early 2022” could mean everything from Early January Till March btw.
Yeah man, this is excellent. I honestly could not be happier with their direction on this update. Any of my remaining complaints are minimal and not worth the breath in light of last night’s pivot.

Nothing basically changed, what are you looking forward too? The same stuff that is already driving people to quit.

Also that Crafting/gathering can also increase HWM (or Expertise now). Rewarding players who invest more and enjoy those activities. Inbetween Chest runs or OPRs.
You can much quickly increase expertise accessories and specific armors/weapons (or shields).
Greataxe getting knocked down a hard notch, potentially changing the meta.
More taxes for endgame regions with the new Gypsum orbs. From PTR If i recall, only Reekwater and Ebonscale are company-ownable regions with the Kilns to craft them so it increases their value if at least a little while not letting the rich regions get richer.
Plenty is changing giving reason to players to stick around longer or giving people the excuse to leave, whatever floats their boat.
