The Fresh Start update is the worst update to date

This might happen in like 1-2years.
But in like 2 years they’ll likely give players from legacy an option to go into FSS without gold or so IF legacies would completely dieout. But this game would be then in such a bad spot this really wouldn’t matter then anymore xd
But with a playerbase like now, if we assume it would drop next month to 20-30k which it likely won’t.
Then it would still take like 2 years till you’d feel anything negative on legacy.

I saw FSS as like a second launch to the game, because the initial launch was disastrous. Ton of issues that turned people off. Legacy servers will die though, but they will just be merged. Should have just relaunched the game and gave out some exclusive skins and such to people who stuck around. It would suck to lose all that progress, but its the same if all that progress is going to be on a dead server anyways. It may take awhile, but FSS will become the norm.

I can get why some people who stuck around for the last year can be infuriated though, they pretty much just beta tested the game for a year for everyone coming back. I see this as the real issue.

As others have said, people who came for the FSS wouldn’t have come back anyways. The game needed another launch because of all the issues. I remember moving your game window around gave you invulnerability, you could link stuff in chat that would crash people’s games, trading was turned off a dozen times because of dupes, and so on. Launch was a dumpster fire and really turned people off.

Yep. You said it. Fresh start after barely a year? How does that make any sense. So Dumb!

Amazon basically admitting the game is dead with this decision even though it is clearly not.

I mean seriously, would it be a good idea to introduce locked Fresh Start Servers yearly? Of course not. SOOO DUMB.

You can already buy gold on FSS and tons of legacy gold has been injected into the system. You’re drinking the Kool-Aid if you feel that FSS are some sort of bubble of protection and not already tainted. This was a rouse by AGS to appease people who have very weak critical thinking skills and to artificially bump their numbers with these people. Anyone with any experience with this game knows that FSS will have all the same issues that legacy servers have experienced. FSS are for four groups of people.

1. Total noobs
2. Sheep (server chasers)
3. Those who quit and needed to be given some false hope to return
4. Those who think they will have and edge on 1-3.

This is 100% accurate.

But the sad reality is we need number 1 (total noobs) to join legacy or legacy will die a slow and painful death. Which will ultimately kill NW because the foundation of the playerbase lives on legacy.

I’ve been enjoying my time on the fss. I don’t see what the issue is. If you don’t like it then just play legacy. Legacy has a healthy player base so don’t say fss killed legacy.

The best part is, at least the fresh start I am on is controlled by legacy players XD. Every war is a massive farm fest. I mean MASSIVE. People with 99 kills! I’ve seen two different times people with 99 kills , 87 kills and multiple people over 50 plus in the same war… it’s been 2 weeks and concurrent population has already dropped a decent amount on my server. Wars have died down completely. These fresh start advocates that said the only reason legacy players win is due to gold dupes and gear diff are getting there reality check. Now our main servers have been hit and fss are starting to already lose players. Sadge

I like the fresh start servers, Mine is full. I’m playing with lots of people that came back to NW, and also lots of people that left legacy and are really enjoying themselves.

I would say it was one of the best updates the game has made.

Right, adding servers which attracted tens of thousands of players was clearly the worst update in New World. That medal surely doesn’t go to the many updates which brought in exploits and dupes. No no, giving tens of thousands of players a fun fresh experience, that’s where AGS failed with New World… Does this community truly hate “fun” that much?

I’d like to see how many will stay. It barely passed 2 weeks and many ‘returned/new companies’ quitted game after loosing wars.

I play on both, Legacy and Fresh. For now things are better on Fresh servers, at least for me.
Let’s see how Fresh servers will evolve after first issue/bug.
Let’s see how Fresh servers will react to auto-aim and lock-target hacks.
Will u then want another fresh start? What would be then the difference between Legacy and Fresh if on both happened a dupe, cheat, hack, exploit?

Strange. I thought the FSS were filled with the most elite pvpers who were actually so good at the game that they found it boring and quit.

Where is Xaryu?!? Surely a man who could land multiple ice gauntlet heavies on a rooted target could save these thumbless baboons.

It’s only been 2 weeks, give it more time, people will get bored and quit. I’m getting bored just getting my experience up while I’m 625 in full bis on my main. More people will go back to mains soon I think.
