The Game Lacks ways to increase Character Power, AGS releases information on how they’re implementing many different ways to progress (beyond looting chests and grinding) and the Forums of full of “I’m Quitting” Threads.
- Crafting gear is not character progression
- Buying gear from the Trading Post is not character progression
- Opening chests and grinding Elites or Bosses was a garbage progression system
- The Expeditions offered very little character progression
From what I can see AGS is going to allow you to wear your Crafted and Purchased gear while progressing your characters power. To me that means you could be a fresh level 60 character, decked out in full 600GS armor and weapons, play the game, and see your power increase in the same way it would be if you were constantly looting, crafting or buying random gear. This puts you at an advantage over anyone else that has played over the last few months.
