I love how the mobs in end-game are the exact same as i’m killing since level 5.
One thing is play with others in a mmo , thats ok, and that the mmo experience. But make friends ? Thats not really part of the experience, in new world you can farm alone, killing mobs alone, the most part of the missions is solo experience, So why the late game is only with group people ? thats the problem for me. No play the game with other people wtf, and pleople saying MAKE FRIENDS, men if you have 2847287382738 friends is your life not my.

True of every MMO I’ve played.
Except, you know, SWTOR.
Not sure how my reply was toxic. I was simply stating a fact. Check anywhere. NW has got a very bad reputation for a toxic community. FFXIV has a great rep for having a great/helpful community. Games get reps bro, it happens.
You were stating an opinion. …ironically. THATS a fact. Ahhhh…… Broomhilda. How we laughed.
Therapy is a good thing. And thanks for proving my point. /ignore
When you mix communities from multiple MMOs you’re always going to run the risk of bringing in the toxic elements from all of those.
With regards to FFXIV, on the whole, you’re largely correct (although there’s a much less competitive element in that tbh), but with the greatest respect, I’ve met some total c**ts in that game too.
You don’t need friends to farm elites zones, pugs are up at almost any time and you can build one yourself.
I
But yet you want them to instill a way for you to play solo…
You can’t tell someone they can’t define how a game is and demand the game cater to your wishes.
That being said, you CAN play as a solo person, just follow groups that are doing Portals, or farming elite areas. You don’t need to make friends, just ask for a group invite or follow the train and tag mobs and kill. It’s not rocket science.
IMO, this is a common issue with modern MMOs. They’re single-player games until BAM you hit a wall that requires group play. Wildstar was particularly bad about this. IMO, all content should be group-based. That’s the first two letters of MMO! However, requiring group play means your playerbase will be the size of DDO’s at best.
…so, here we are, playing yet another single-player MMO that suddenly changes to group content at the end.
In all MMOs I have played, I make my own end game experience, often solo. Why? Well, not all companies have enough folks on at any given time to accomplish tasks. Its pretty clear how much the community is not really wanting a PUG experience in how they conduct themselves when it comes to Invasions and Wars.
I would say that playtime is a consideration for most players and I know one of my own cons is that after playing an MMO that actually had EPIC Raids with poor community controlled lottery for items. I just do not have the 6-7 hours to spend trying to do a dungeon or raid. I know that group events in NW are probably not that EPIC, but having experienced that type of experience, it can often between valuable time wasted while folks try to organize (both PUG and Company groups). It is one reason that many MMOs have switched to the Group Finder approach (for all its goods and bads).
I’m not against having a lot of solo-able content, I’m just confused what the solo crowd expects from end-game content.
What are you hoping to accomplish that you can’t do on your own?
