You should make a thread about that so I can champion your cause. You shouldn’t have to craft to pvp. I support that completely. Similarly I think pve players should not have to pvp to be optimal at their pve.
you wrong never see this in any PVP PVE game.
The benefits of being a PVP player must be earned in battles, not just by saying it’s PVP
Yea, that’s thing, this is NOT a PvP game. It is an MMO where a majority of the playerbase is PvE focused, which is why they need to bribe people to actually flag for PvP.
Worse, this change hurts the MMO part. As Vyanie mentioned, there will be no more mixed faction farming. I mostly play solo, but the two times I went farming chests/portals was with someone in a different faction. All the dungeon runs I have done were with someone in another faction as well. That would never happen now because they would lose the loot bonus.
So the only thing they will accomplish with this change is to create more toxicity between the different factions. Yay.
How is this backfiring? Many players love this update, it literally speeds up gameplay in getting better gear, increasing your HWM, and finding all those special trophy artifacts. It’s an amazing update. The few people who are complaining can simply press U on their keyboard and join in on the fun or move on.
It hasn’t backfired, its great. I see way more people out pvp flagged now.
I suspect they did expect a forum temper tantrum, and knew it was relatively meaningless in the grand scheme of things, and didn’t care.
Flag bonus does not work in dungeons, just fyi. So it shouldn’t impact that at all.
Stop lying. No one took anything away from you. If you choose not to do PvP then you choose not to get the reward.
The folks you see out there right now are a false positive that this helped. I flagged to see how much better chance it was to get rare stuff, I even did it naked since my armor got stolen and spent about 50 minutes chopping trees before a level 60 GA user tried to ambush me and I am not level 60 yet. He not only failed to kill me because I was able to run back to town using dodging to get away, but honestly, the extra luck did not seem much greater. In fact, after I turned it back off, it seemed to be about the same.
Ur guys accept any solution from patchs, what you beneficts in PVP when kill entire enemy group alone ? “30% luck to winner”
you too, you too you tooo,
wait you flagued as PVE give me back move to ESO
Nobody lost anything. Every person that is playing the game can get the bonus, or turn it off, any time they want.
A PvE bonus isn’t going to increase engagement from the players that just want the luck bonus, you’ll just have more people running nodes flagged up instead of yoinking nodes from the PvP trains. Good for the PvP trains, more targets, but is slapping around a wet noodle really that much fun? If they want to bring PvE players that are on the fence over, I don’t think adding a bonus that incentivizes PvE play in a flagged state is the way to do it
Also note, Flagged fishing did not seem to have improved.
If pvp was so good nobody would need an incentive to do it.
Does fishing not count as gathering?
Did not expect it to, the devs said in the luck post a couple weeks ago that neither gathering luck nor loot luck affected fishing luck.
As this was a loot and gathering buff bonus and not a fishing luck bonus I didn’t think anyone would expect it to impact fishing.
How about increasing our chances to be able to do Wars before level 60 and increasing ways we can do outpost rush before level 60. Making it so we lose progress on PVP faction quests does not make me want to PVP more, in fact, it makes me want to PVP less. Why? Because quests like that are PVE really, not PVP and getting ganked and losing progress does not make me want to do them more.
This entire post says otherwise…
PvP is great, but it is human nature to take the path of least resistance.
At 60 there was no incentive at all to be pvp flagged, but there were lots of cons. Extra repairs, extra travel times, more dying, with no benefit to any of it other than the thrill of the fight, and therefore very few people did it.
Now that we have a reason to flag, tons of pvp players are running around flagged at 60 that were not before. Ive had some great fights over Orichalcum nodes, first time thats happened, and its amazing.
This was a great change. Something was added, nothing was taken away. Its available to everyone. Dont be scared, try it out.
They don’t want to be incentivized to do something that clearly is not that fun
Yet… you don’t have to flag… and the game is still the same game… So perhaps something in you has changed and it is not the game but you. Or it is the game and it is causing you to dislike it, probably not from a tiny change to PvP flagging but the overall lack of ANYTHING to do after you did the following:
