I guess the biggest point is why push away new players or keep beating clearly over used topics over and over and over. Can anyone honestly say NW team is not trying? If anything they listen to much to the community’s loudest people. Constructive criticism thought out with logic is great. To much just peeing in a drain because you feasted on asparagus then complaining about the smell is sensless BS.

So much needless hateful dribble yuck! I haven’t even seen ‘game is dead’ post active lately nor have I seen the huge toxicity spoken on the forum by a few people that find everything toxic.
What does annoy me is the constant cries for surface-level nerfs. There is no rest.

Iv been threw everything that’s happened in this game, mergers when there free tokens were out there were the dumbest things ever. So many quit just from the disconnect of there community’s being broken its wild they would keep going with them to me.
It’s been an interesting journey for sure. Have I received more than sufficient value for the cost of the game? Yes. Do I have the same enjoyment now as I did when NW was fresh? Not really, no. I still enjoy plunking around though. Seeing all the friends leave has been difficult, probably the hardest part.
that’s the part I’m worried about every merge brings a wave of people who quit and its hard. Been through it so many times, now that the transfer tokens exist. I don’t find it acceptable that there merging more.

Yeah gotta chime in on this too, I spent time on Brittia and on one of the servers that got merged early, and never found toxic players. I think the worst I did catch were a few bots and some general chat warriors but those are hardly irregular.
The most toxicity I’ve seen in the community comes from the people claiming to be proponents of the game, but who somehow only ever react with vitriol.

Yes I am soooo toxic .Look at all my post about this is trash that is trash. Nerf this Nerf that and game is dead. I also like to always lead with this game is dead if…insert whatever here… I also like to throw in how if you are a returning player dont bother. This all came from todays post. Again can you come here and honestly say the Dev team is not trying to fix the ship? I think thet are and enjoy the game. ( Get this it is a GAME). The point being maybe the population would grow if you stopped stomping and trashing everything.
I agree. I’ve said plenty times to whiners, if this game create them so much hate, frustration, anger and toxicity just move on something else.

I think this game would have been on better situation without forum at all.
Whoever die couple times in Outpost they come and ask to nerf that weapon.
Whenever a weapon its used often in Outpost, they ask to nerf it.
Whatever they cant kill with 1 combo, they ask to nerf it: Healers, Tanks, Bruisers.
Constantly complaining about some change, when change comes they blame Amazon for doing it:
-Remove expedition orb at beginning, now they complain about it and ask to keep orbs. It was 1 mutation orb per week, now getting 20-25 mutation per week and isnt enough.
-Asking for server merge, now complaining why doing server merge. Like it helped anybody to have full of bots on servers with so low population that couldnt or barely could fill invasions/wars/outpost.
-the urge to create a new thread every time somebody come back or leave the game. Nobody really care about ur attention issues. Move on to ur next journey, u will be welcome back whenever u want. But even if u dont come back game will move on without u.
Also big issue its the herd instinct of many players to follow youtube/twitch user like GODS. If there is a video “best/top killer”, then u gonna see plenty of players copying the build. If there is a video “this need nerf” they just repeat it all over the forum and ingame, without trying it out and making their own statement.
Perhaps your problem is you are lumping everyone into this toxic community? You know broad stereotypes are generally insulting because while they might represent some people, they don’t represent all of them. So yes, you are being toxic. You might think you aren’t, but you are. If you have a problem about specific people, they discuss them. Don’t lump all of them together. But while you are thinking that through, ask yourself, what positive is this thread trying to change about the game? Do you think your approach is going to win hearts and minds? If not, maybe then you can see how it is just more toxicity.
I absolutely share the view that if you aren’t having fun in NW, then leave. Most have. That’s a fact. A cold hard fact.
Part of it is i did just sit back and read… Go back thru the forums and you will get the perception it is a large portion of the community cheering for failure . I not saying everything is sunshine and rainbows but if you as a community are trying to bring in new players GL. You just got fired from your sales job.
Take a second to see how many new players the few there are get scoffed or ignored in global chat…i actually help new players if i can. Again this is a mmorpg the community is a huge part of the selling point. If its toxic to say its not just Amazon failing but also this community guess im toxic. I would sale this community Low as it is.

If no to that, then what is the point of your post? To blame the community for where we are today? So it is my fault, your fault, everyone’s fault that we are where we are today? Yeah, sorry that’s a bridge too far for me and I am generally not negative about the game at all. Go read my history. People have legitimate complaints about the game, some people are passionate about their descriptions, some people are just negative, some are overly toxic. You don’t get to paint all of them with the same brush.
Anyone that defends this game is either part of the few Royalty that get the town taxes, or they are down right crazy.
I can prove to you that AGS bears absolute blame for all the negative posts in this forum:

Evidence for this charge is everywhere, but I will remind you of the most obvious and blatant disrespect. Since the beginning of the game, the game has been infested with farming and fishing bots. They have a reporting system and they completely ignore it. They don’t care enough about the players to even investigate the reports. There are level 60 farming and fishing bots all over the place. Investigating the reports and acting upon them is a simple matter, so why don’t they do it? Because they don’t have any respect for the player base.
This is just one example of many. And there is no way to deny it or to make excuses for AGS
We can’t forget blatant nerfs to weapons that have been in the game for months that player’s have invested a bunch of time upgrading with umbral shards only to get the weapon nerfed into the ground and turned into a pile of trash
looking at you blackguard magic weapons and tigers instinct
