you should lose against the same weapon in heavy because they have more survivablity if you 1v1 alot you would know. for example heavy mage vs light mage light mage has to hit 10+ shots when heavy only has to hit 4 to 5

no you will not lose vs heavy cos you have more iframes in medium and can avoid more dmg + do more dmg at the same time. if you lose you do cos you fail to dodge the right stuff aka you´re bad.
btw if you would duel alot you would know that no1 remotely good at the game uses heavy outside of wars
light doesnt do more damage to heavy than heavy does to light
no1 uses light either. well dex builds sometimes do but even them are usually better off with medium cos muskets stomp light wearers.

heavy armor doesnt soak up 90% of anything.
600gs heavy balanced mitigation soaks 45%
600gs medium balanced mitigation soaks up 37%
600gs light armor balanced mitigation soaks up 25%
further mitigation than that involves gems available to anyone.
perks/traits/buffs/abilities.
if they have tankiness issue, they probably need to look at other factors.
heavy armor is kinda lame right now, Its mostly just being used because people aren’t that familiar with the numbers, because you have a shield which makes you heavier even when not in use, or they are trying to be a super tank.
you’d generally be better off using con attribute points, or certain perks if you want to increase overall tankiness in exchange for dps
all im saying is heavy is a little too versatile and with gaxe still hits super hard there’s no point in using anything else outside of bow i do 3 mil damage in wars but just feel like its useless damage

Heavy is only better when your evenly trading damage.
Ranged does not fight like that so there is no reason to be in heavy. Unless your the decoy damage sponge that stands out in the open looking to soak up bullets 
As for melee… Those who don’t fight fair and group up may find value in medium armor as they can bust down people caught in their path. No need to be in heavy if your not going to die. Might as well clear people out faster.

what? medium is best for all kinds of content except wars for everyone including melee.
if you have 2 GA/WH players dueling, one in heavy and one in medium and they both know what they are doing, the guy in medium will win 90% of the time.
the only time heavy might end up better is if its 2 really bad players that just spam left click and dont know how/what to dodge.
you mean the OPR’s where you spend 40 minutes running away from the giant clump of GA/Hammer users in heavy. That just spam the gravity and other catch abilities until they catch someone and insta delete them? Yeah the meta is garbage, the games all play out the same and there is no small scale pvp. I actually think one easy fix is to remove the movement penalty for attacking and dodge.
So I agree medium is better, I’m saying the same thing. If people don’t know how to play and blindly hit each other then the OP might be right that a heavy build could win
So let me get this right, you do almost 2.2m damage in a war, and then complain about 90% of your damage being soaked up? Just curious about the numbers here. If this is your experience, it is beyond me how you can have an issue with the meta, unless ofc this screenshot was taken during hatchet bug.
