this is what happens when you merge to may worlds together with the belief no one will return or comeback it is real simple take the number you merged and make your server able to hold the number of possible players for each server that you merged
Unplanned, unannounced server merges right before the big summer update. Genius big brain thinking on AGS part. At least I was able to watch the entire house of dragon episode tonight while in queue, altho its 10min past being over now and i’m still #1 in queue. What a joke.
Servers so over capped and so damn slow nothing spawns in dungeons lol. great job ags

i wish i saw an actual representative number for my que position. I’m also a returning player, but the number will go from 1-30 and everywhere between, up and down. its been almost an hour at this time of night on a sunday, I wouldnt expect the line to be like this. but even if I DID, the fact that the number seems to hold no real meaning, AND you can use outside websites to see the “real” que… that means the ability for you guys to do the same is there and you simply dont. Isnt the LEAST you could do for the ques is have accurate numbers displayed in game?
We have a huge problem on Nysa as well. Everything is contested like crazy, these maps aren’t made for 2000+ players online. M10 Mutations are really annoying to do where bosses don’t spawn, trash mobs don’t spawn until late so we have to wait for them, fights get bugged due to the lag. OPR is lagging so much I have stopped playing it.
Whenever there is a war, its hard to do dungeons or even open your inventory.
I have at least 10 friends who stopped playing due to the lag!
They did the same mistake with Nysa as they did with Barri and many other servers, they closed it for transfers way, way too late.
Nysa is a server with 74!!! servers merged into it not like some other server with a very few old servers merged into it. Yesterday we have over 1300 in queue. My questions is, how will it look when the new update is released? How have AGS planned this?
I feel AGS needs to address this issue ASAP before most of us stop playing cause of these issues.
Merges needed to happen that time. Just not for the servers that had circa 500 players or more instead those servers should have been the ones that smaller servers were merged into.
Sadly the amount of crying, compliance and shortsightedness (big merging before big updates, like wtf) put together is a recipe for disaster.
I am pretty sure this recent bump in players would be even higher if people could actually get into the game.
They opened Nysa again. They increased the cap for each EU server except Nisa that has been at 2250 cap already but had >1k queue yesterday. Although they opened it again. I don’t get it.
I think at the very bare minimum, the devs should fix the in-game server queue UI so that people don’t have to go check a 3rd party website to try get some idea of how long they are going to wait. It’s been broken for ages.
Yesterday at 20h PM Number of Queue was 1020 on Nysa when i tried to log.
20h27 i was in game.

This site only shows the same number u can also check in game on select server menu. But nowhere its saying how much u would actually need to wait.
Yeah, queue is a thing now, nearly on all servers or maybe on all servers (I dont play on all to can be sure).
I keep see voices saying merges were bad. U guys are very wrong, merges were great and is what motivated many ppl to keep playing or returning. Now we can debate if should have been merges less servers or not, but we cant change past.
As a fast reaction I’ve noticed New World expanded almost all servers to 2.200. Sure, it doesnt fix the issue. But just be patient and wait a bit.

No, I know. I’m just saying they could fix it so at the very least we can see the queue counting down in-game like how it used to work. Now it jumps around between 1 and 4.

Board bug after expedition/OPR is since beginning.
Cant see OPR scoreboard after Arena is since beginning.
List can continue with old bugs that never got fixed.

People keep referencing this. So instead of analyzing the data and anticipating returning players you blame the squeaky wheels in the forums for the AGS dumbassery of merging right before a release? they could have released, then when the numbers didnt change they could have responded. Instead they put the game on sale and tried to draw more players into already crowded servers.
Yup, when I stopped playing my expectation was my lively medium pop server would still be there. I didn’t ask for this shit. It’s amazing that they don’t understand they have killed the “server communities” repeatedly. Literally 24/7 my new server has queues, and it’s impossible to farm resources because servers aren’t actually balanced around being full pop. game works best around 1-1.5k concurrents imo which is why I stayed on servers like that. now servers like that dont exist

How is it possible that Amazon, a server company, cannot accurately predict their server needs? “But AGS isn’t Amazon!” Well in news articles and interviews when the game first launched, they bragged about how they have access to AWS server tech and how awesome that would be. So I think it’s a fair comment to make.
Queue times are the newest mini-game started que 10 minutes before my buddy who hopped in at #1 in the queue and somehow got in before me.
