The rapier changes are horrible and this needs to stop

For the love of god these sledge hammer nerfs need to stop, balance needed to come for the rapier but this is the 3rd time you’ve bought a sledge hammer to a weapon and this one might actually be the worst.

The first was when you deleted fire staffs damage

The second was when you killed the great axe and turned it into a grav well machine

Now it’s the rapiers turn and it shows a frightening amount of ignorance as to how the weapons work

The issue with the rapier was both riposte and flèche both creating way too much breathing room.
Ripostes cooldown was just too low, end of story, that needed an increase.
Flèche on the other hand just has the issue of it actually being the best mobility skill in the game and actually needs every other mobility skill to function the same way, it’s got no root at the end and flows into movement.

The rapier it’s self wasn’t the issue for its nerf it was being used as an escape tool which I can understand warrants nerfs.

But now evade is the actually huge issue here getting hit with a massive 100% cooldown increase.
Evade wasn’t exactly being used as a clutch dodge, it had two big uses, one was comboing into a dodge roll to get a move speed bonus and the other was used to actually deal damage.

This change is a HUGE nerf to both its pvp potential and to its over potential, i makes the final point in the grace tree carry way less value and completely ruins rapiers ability to stick to targets.

Not only that we don’t have another option in the blood tree because that is basically a dead tree, tondos bleed stacks don’t even do as much damage as a spear bleed and have roughly the same cooldown if you’re playing them right.
Flurry is kind of okay but nothing special and flourish and finish suck.

For the love of god this nerf is beyond over the top, you need to stop doing these insanely huge sweeping nerfs unless you’re going to compensate with power elsewhere.

Indeed bro, youre totally right, the solution for runing is delete the aggro rapier potential, if pre nerf 10% of the rapier players were playing aggro with the rapier now it will decrease to 0% and 100% using it for runing, ironically. Anyway mate, do this post in game discussion because the devs read this opinions there.

I might actually be slightly wrong, the cooldown drop on evade might be slightly more but this is going to be pretty dependant on actually hitting people

I think a 50% cooldown increase on evade could have been fine as long as it doesn’t break the flow we currently have when we land successful hits

I just don’t think the evade nerf was that needed as I’ve never seen someone completely just use evade to the potential AGS thinks it’s being used at

the devs are noobs or in drugs, for real. the thing is that a healer can not use rapier for only run cause makes no sense, but this nerf will affect only the “for real” players of rapier and not the LS pussy players usain bolt.

Dry your tears it will be the same as it was for FS and GA > noob will stop playing with it while “decent player” will keep playing it with few tweaks on their build and still being good with it.
