I’m surprised they even remembered that Eastern and Central Europe exists.
Maybe when the company was discussing what languages the game should be published in, some director briefly remembered hearing a lot of Polish in Amazon warehouses and decided that will be good enough as far as localization for second world countries go.
Amazon should NOT translate this game to russian EVER !!
Getting NON English speaking russians will just destroy the game as it has been proven to happen with every single game before.
10000% Agains Russian Translation. This is just going to be the last nail in the coffin.
you’re a little crazy. Are you only worried about Russians who don’t speak English? as I understand it - yes. because you are not worried about other nationalities that have their own localization and do not speak English. or maybe your brain is not able to realize that with localization it is also necessary to introduce servers for Russians with the possibility of switching to them. as it is done now for other players and countries that have their own localization. and you, my little racists, will be happy that the Russians will go to their servers and we will be happy that we will not have to play with racists. it’s great for everyone
You made me laugh now 1/3 europeans speak russian? if you class as saying cyka blyat as speaking russian i totally agree with you.
Russia ain’t any better than Poland and saying polish language is in game couse pols are working in amazon warehouses is same as saying russian language isn’t in game because there’s too many russian thieves and alcoholics - same bs as example given by @sewenewes
But you forget that the whole CIS region speaks Russian. Such countries as Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Istonia, Azerbajan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Turkmenistan. And these are only those countries that I could remember
I do not deny that English is already a world language, but what about those who do not know it, who know their national languages and the second language to study was Russian, not English
My friend, what is your problem?
The Russians would play on their own server, you would play on your own server and no one would touch each other. Yes, perhaps Russian hot-tempered people, but by this they do not become bad or aggressors as it is customary to say now
So there was my answer to that - game implemented latin alphabet languages.
You need to make your mind up what you want - if you would ask for latin alphabet russian (which you claimed it would look funny but at least most of the world would get what you writing there) i think it would be in game by now (only my opinion). But if you asking for cyrrilic then they would have to bring greek, arabic etc and chat would end up in one big patterns.
Don’t get me wrong, I wish every language was represented. I’m originally from the historic Eastern Europe myself and it’s a running stereotype (with a lot of truth to it, sadly) that people like me fill up all the menial and/or underpaid positions in Western Europe. We are often looked down upon and rarely ever taken into consideration when people think of Europe.
So I’m surprised Amazon actually implemented a localization for a language from that part of Europe but not Russian at the same time. It seems oddly arbitrary.
