This is my first post but I have to agree… with the current state of the game updates on a regular basis is a must and yes I must say no update on Wednesday does not boast well for the game, since I played the beta I must say that the beta had more working content and fewer bugs than the actual released game, since launch we have been taken away content instead of added.
I have to say I really enjoyed the game and it does have a lot of potential I was hoping to see a fix for the output rush so we LVL 60’s have something else to do, and or a fix for the 65+ portals so that again we have something else to do as max levels.
and I also would like to add that every major MMO that i have played has had weekly patches and let’s be frank this game has enough bugs for them to be doing weekly patches for at least 2 years.
It is important the people can express frustration, anger, de-illusionization (does this word even exist? I’m self thaught). But…
Every person that has sunk already over 100 hours in this game should relax. Coz they would not have done it, if it would not have been amazing in it’s way, for some contents, blah.
So let’s be happy we had the motivation to sink many hours. The USD 40 were worth it, obviously. And look forward to new stuff. Even if the process is bäh and the contens might seem müeh.
This is what I keep going back to. How the hell do any of us know what goes into a fix? We don’t work at AGS. I’d bet money less of us work on game development teams. I bet a lot of us don’t even work in software development in general.
How can someone demand weekly patches? I get calling bugs important. The constant grind all the time is how game devs get burned out.
We have the final pieces of the server transfer system tested and ready to go, but we are making a difficult decision to hold it until next week. This was a balance call between honoring a date we told you to expect, versus the disruption of a deployment during a peak play period (the weekend).
Hello Havuc, I have played WOW, Runescape, ESO, Warhammer Online, Blade and Soul, Black Desert Online, these have all been the most popular MMO’s I have played them all at their juvenile state and they ALL had weekly patches in their young age which makes sense because new games will always have bugs, I’m sure this is what the OP was referring to. Most of these games have the “Luxury” of skipping 1, 2, or even 3 weeks without patches because they have already evolved their game through years of hard work.
So far their fixes have not fixed problems so option 2 has not been shown to be an option at all. Server transfers didnt work, outpost rush didnt work.
Likely to be better than if I sit back and just take what they give me and never expect them to do better. I am the customer, if I am polite about it I see no reason I cant make requests without having to deal with the defenders of AGS honor and virginity.
I am already complaining about them not working. The only thing that will change that is some updates that do fix real issues or some better communication telling us why its taking so long and a roadmap for the game. Its 2021 MMO are not new anymore. Its ok to expect more than you get and not just accept it. These issues are costing them players, its in their best interests to get it fixed or tell people why its not so maybe they cut them some slack.
I’m don’t care when the patching happens, but a concrete date or few days heads up would be nice.
We didn’t declare war yesterday as we thought maintenance would negate them anyway. We are running PvP missions right now, and I’m hoping it won’t be a sudden: “patch tomorrow” announcement by the team. In a game where timing matters, they should definitely communicate more about patch times.
It was coin toss today too, if they’ll patch or not.
