Because they said they dont want to interupt the weekend. see this quote:
Hi everyone,
We have the final pieces of the server transfer system tested and ready to go, but we are making a difficult decision to hold it until next week. This was a balance call between honoring a date we told you to expect, versus the disruption of a deployment during a peak play period (the weekend).
Every, single, Tuesday, since the start of time wow went down at 7-10 am my time, every, single, Tuesday.
ESO has weekly maint and patches every week but ok friend.
well as it turns out it is only wednesday. again do you have a calendar?
Which means tomorrow is patch day or it likely wont happen this week.
Hello Havuc, I have played WOW, Runescape, ESO, Warhammer Online, Blade and Soul, Black Desert Online, these have all been the most popular MMO’s I have played them all at their juvenile state and they ALL had weekly patches in their young age which makes sense because new games will always have bugs, I’m sure this is what the OP was referring to. Most of these games have the “Luxury” of skipping 1, 2, or even 3 weeks without patches because they have already evolved their game through years of hard work.
Yes but what would you prefer?
Rushed patch with bug fix that doesn’t perfectly address the problem
-or-
Delayed patch with bug fix that does perfectly address the problem
So far their fixes have not fixed problems so option 2 has not been shown to be an option at all. Server transfers didnt work, outpost rush didnt work.
So you think it’s going to be better if you demand a weekly patch?
Likely to be better than if I sit back and just take what they give me and never expect them to do better. I am the customer, if I am polite about it I see no reason I cant make requests without having to deal with the defenders of AGS honor and virginity.
So you prefer option 1 of rush patches that may not solve the problem perfectly. Gotcha.
Let me ask you this, if you get these rush patches that don’t quite work, would you be complaining about them not working?
I am already complaining about them not working. The only thing that will change that is some updates that do fix real issues or some better communication telling us why its taking so long and a roadmap for the game. Its 2021 MMO are not new anymore. Its ok to expect more than you get and not just accept it. These issues are costing them players, its in their best interests to get it fixed or tell people why its not so maybe they cut them some slack.
Yea, so you have already been getting what you want from the patches. All you’re doing here is saying that over and over again.
I’m saying let them work on the quality of patches and if that means not weekly then we are all better for it.
I’m don’t care when the patching happens, but a concrete date or few days heads up would be nice.
We didn’t declare war yesterday as we thought maintenance would negate them anyway. We are running PvP missions right now, and I’m hoping it won’t be a sudden: “patch tomorrow” announcement by the team. In a game where timing matters, they should definitely communicate more about patch times.
It was coin toss today too, if they’ll patch or not.
& I’m here when I’m at work. When home I’m playing the hell out of the game
I am letting them work. I am not interfering with the devs in any way.
Are we this naive? It should be obvious at this point that even if the GM’s and devs come forward with a new statement every hour, they will be met with a barrage of insults, derogatory comments and all kinds of obscenities. It is the same script always.
To be honest, the should close the forums and just leave the “Official News” section up and simply allow those to want to leave, leave.
That’s a terrible idea, cause then everyone will move somewhere that would be out of their reach for any moderation or reply
You mean what’s already happening on Reddit, Twitter, FB, Youtube and Twitch? I mean, it is not like there’s any moderation anyway. People just come here and defecate all over the place like it is their personal toilet.
