So there’s a lot of complaining about the Brutes in OPR. They’ve already been nerfed once, and 5 players can now down one fairly easy by doing heavy attacks (or just shoot them from outside of aggro range). A lot of “hard core” pvp players are complaining about the PvE in OPR as well. Which I find odd. There is no better place to go to in OPR for some good 1vX than to portal. It also makes it a tactical objective, to stop Azoth farmers.
A lot of “hard core” pvp’rs want OPR to be “all zerg mid”. They’d prefer to have no strategy, or tactical decicions. It’s like when CoD players try Battlefield and go "why does my team keep losing, we have more kills!
I hear their needs, and so Arenas should deffo be a thing. Heck, even a Battle royal arena would be really cool.
But when it comes to OPR. The change you’ve decided to do with the brutes, to make it a “group effort” to get one, will make it a lot messier. There are already too many people that goes to farm brutes for most peoples tastes, as too many bodies “wasted” on farming brutes, means less bodies on points. Brutes are good where they are now. It creates a space for the 1v1 or 1vx builds. Or small skirmishes if you like, without dragging too many bodies off the points.
If you’re gonna keep the “pve” in OPR, leave it as it is rn. Making brutes more expensive but still as the easy kill they now are, just doesn’t make sense. Either remove them (and the baron and turn it all into a massive slug-fest), or leave them be.
Why am I even writing about this… Until the Desync, lags, and cheats are under control… this doesn’t really matter.
