There is no way that’s going to go well, especially after the recent changes.
Yes make them tradeable, so I can get rid of my 1.1M Umbralshards that dont have any use.
And they would go down in price too, but with the system as it is, they are sold only by msg in the chat and at a higher price than they should.
So let me get this straight.
People are mad that you can spend like an hour total (while queuing for PvP) to get gypsum and easily knock out 4k+ shards a day.
Like you can literally sit at Ivan or Serenity Monastery with a Topaz potion on and get your obsidian and emeralds while queuing for Arena. But I’m sure that’s the thing holding you all back from dominating the PvP scene ![]()
This playerbase is so hopeless. It’s no wonder AGS has to keep dumbing down the gameplay.
And it will still be 4hrs app just to collect the 10-12 gypsum.
If you want to collect resources to craft or whatever, you need to play how many hours a day? All this would be simplified if you could collect a maximum of daily gypsun (10 for example) doing the content that really interests you, be it OPR, Arena, collecting or dungeon.
That would be a reward for playing the game basically and not an obligation to make certain content every day.
I spend about 30 minutes, and consequently the gypsum comes as a result. They are not independent events. You can easily get 10 gypsum in 2 hours of game time. That game time INCLUDES ARENA and OPR, so you’re actually still PvPing a bulk of that time.
I do agree that the way obtaining gypsum is structured is silly.
It’s been a bad practice AGS loves to use going back to alpha. They make content that isn’t fun, and then pigeonhole players into doing it to keep them busy, rather than creating inherently fun gameplay loops. I doubt that will ever change.
Can you really not put yourself in someone else’s shoes and imagine how maybe their queues are longer and taking longer to find groups for dungeon?
I dunno I could see it maybe working. There are I’m sure a lot of people who aren’t good enough, are mages or several other reason who may not get to do mutations who might jump on it. Hell if I saw it I’d probably join because it’s free shards and I’m the type who doesn’t mind wiping to help people learn, also - mage.

Makes no sense, theres probably more vet players on OG servers that new players.
They should just allow to buy 10k umbrals for like 40k faction tokens.

i usually agree with you, but in this one i don’t. Even that i recognize you are partially right in my opinion. We need better pvp rewards, more content. Is not only about to do our 4k dialy mark (which is a joke, i have 53 orbs in my bags)

But as any other mmo , to incentivase the grind, there is need to put the carrot in front of the players, pvp players don’t have that carrot, we have crap. PVP rewards are simply bad.
I’ve said this in multiple threads. Umbral shards are the worst thing in this game. I’ve never even completed an M1 before. Wish I could. I get about 2400 shards a day. Or 4 levels of upgrades. Good thing I have multiple sets of gear and weapons needing hundreds of upgrades. See you all 5 years from now.

As someone who does a lot of both PvE and PvP, I think this game is just lacking in carrots altogether.
You run M10s so you can run more M10s and make money…but you don’t need the money because you’re already running the hardest content in the game so you can use it to buy PvP gear, but there’s no real carrot for PvPing that you don’t already get from PvEing. None of the PvP matters, even the overly exaggerated wars.
There’s no PvP ranking system, the upcoming leaderboards are an absolute joke, changing builds is a gear-based nightmare.
Once you think you’ve hit that endgame loop you realize there’s nothing worth striving for. It’s been a flaw in the design for years now but they just don’t want to address it.
It’s very mobile-like. I’m sure some MBA decided B2P with mobile timegates and RNG was the best way to make money, but I can’t be the only that finds it a turn-off to log in and see 3 pop-ups and a list of chores.
Yep,the end game is garbo. I know people that took break/ quitted once they saw the leaderboard which is pvp mission ( I wonder whose idea was it) instead of 1vs1,2vs2,3vs3,5vs5 or 10vs10 game mode they release pvp mission leaderboard.
This game needed cross server ranked matchmaking for 1vs1,2vs2,3vs3,5vs5 and 10vs10 or 20vs20 game mode.
yeah. This is just frustrating to play now . Even the new heartgems are exclusively from dungeons.
