The Worst MMO I've Ever Played

I vote to close the thread.

I’ve been playing MMO’s since the first Everquest. Here’s some ideas…

  1. Group finding for quests and dungeons when needed.
  2. Clerics weapon takes WAY too long to level IMO.
  3. Make it where you can save skins of any items you find that can have skins so you have a wider choice.
  4. For God’s sake make mounts! LOL this running forever is so wrong.
  5. Make it where you can summon people to a group before going into an instance.
  6. The UI needs some serious help and more mobility.
  7. Please add where you can choose which monitor you want to select to play on for us who have 3 or 4 monitors.
  8. Good job but I honestly expected more refinement after 5 supposed years of development. But I think it will get better if you listen to the majority.
  9. Go to virtualpatriot.stream and join my twitch channel please. Thanks! Maybe I’ll stream everyday if you do! Peace out…

I love all the assumptions being made so that ya’ll do not have to confront your biases. This is objectively a horribly low-effort attempt at an MMO and you’re all responding to anything but the points I’ve raised so you can continue to cling to your own ignorance.

I laughed out loud when I read that. I’d hate to be anywhere near you in any game if that is your attitude. You must be truly awful to play anywhere near.

Pretty sure you haven’t. As was shown by your lack of knowledge on ranged weapons.

Hint: watching streamers doesn’t make you an expert in anything.

There are a large amount of issues with the game. That’s the bad and what needs time to develop and improve on further.

There’s also a tidal wave of good elements that they nailed and put a lot of effort into. If you watched some of their recent game development footage you’d get a feel for that. How they ported in IRL sounds of cutting wood, musket firing from civil war reenactments, etc. The scenery, landscapes, settlements, art style of equipment, mood, lighting, housing, gathering, crafting recipes; to name a few off the top of my head all are a great resounding success.

I’d rather play a game with so much good and fun in it and so much room to grow, that feels raw admittedly, then a game that isn’t aiming to be great or only produce a very narrow band of content. This type of game takes a lot of time. There are a lot of issues, everyone agrees, but to ignore all of the positives and enjoyment this game offers, I have to say you are missing the boat or the forest for the trees.

“Where all you do is press LMB” so what if I am a mouse clicker and I click all of my abilities in a game with hotbars full of abilities. Isn’t that pressing left mouse button to deal all of my damage?

I can’t complain, at least you have to click to do a decent amount of damage, even if it is basic attacking. I’ve played big MMOs where 30%+ of some class damage is just auto-attack, clicking LMB once to engage for however long of a fight.

Based on a few of your comments I don’t think you are in the majority.

All you want to do is take away all the exploration and make it a wow clone with instant queues to dungeons from anywhere in the world.

The travel system is great, you just need to find the shrines. Once you get leveled up you will also have one inn and two houses.

This is 100000000000000000% a troll. Why is anyone replying?

You’re still responding to my tone and not my points.

You’re actually making that up. You do not have to lead with the rifle is all I’ve said. Which is true. Yes, I can become an expert by reading and watching. You’re just mad at my confidence in that fact. You’ve already formed an idea of who you think I am based on a few posts on the forums? Sounds like you’re the one with the problem.

Now please stop derailing the topic and post something relevant to my points and stop trying to analyze my personality based on a spirited forum post. KKTHX

Maybe he became an expert by reading?

You do nothing but neg everything anyone posts that you disagree with without offering any real feedback. Please post somewhere else troll, thank you.

Wanna try again?

There are no queues. None of the servers are down. There is no maintenance. Why are you people here arguing?

He probably read and watched so he is an expert on everyone’s opinion.

There was an emotional post with objectively incorrect information in it and this is the internet. The rest takes care of itself

It’s a nice QoL feature but not a necessary feature.

You mean Life Staff? Don’t use it to try and finish enemies. Hit the enemies a few times then finish them off with a different weapon. It has to be balanced and if you increase the damage of a weapon designed to be used for healing then it becomes unbalanced.

I agree. They should implement a type of ‘wardrobe’ feature and a ‘costume loadout’ feature. That’d be a good addition for sure.

The game is designed to have us focusing on exploring the map. I made a suggestion for AG to add automated horses with carriages that travel slowly between each hub where you can jump in for x amount of money depending on where you want to travel. Outside of that, there’s plenty of shrines for fast travel along with fast travel between each settlement.

Another QoL feature that isn’t necessary. There’s typically a shrine not that far from a dungeon entrance. People just need to be a bit less lazy.

UI could use some work. I personally wouldn’t mind an inventory system where you have actual bag windows you open and at the same time being able to move around with any amount of bag windows open. Though i get where they went with the UI and why they designed it like they did. It’s not really impairing game play by any means.

Uh you can? In Windows or in whichever GFX card software you’re using?

The majority would be casual PVE players and yes, they did listen to us. Obviously, they’re most likely working on more content and fixes/adjustments, but like most MMORPGs, they’re probably doing a content release schedule.

I’d say the game is pretty refined as it is. Minor bugs are to be expected though, because it’s extremely hard to squash every single bug prior to release, even if they did get the majority of them.

As for how they plan on shaping the game from here on out, your guess is as good as mine. Only time will tell, but i’m pretty sure the community will play a big part in how they do things. I’m personally enjoying the game from a casual perspective either way. Even with queues!
