they all do it to an extent.
I have also followed this reviewer for years, I consider him to be sincere, honest and sensible.
I don’t always agree with him, but then his play style is not exactly mine, still he seems to make reasonable reviews.

I came back for the new patch but I’m on the way out again.
The New World Dev/CS team is shady af.
Adding a PTR and not using it while inducing game breaking bugs was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me.
If it’s not CS going in and closing forum threads and deleting stuff that shines a bad light on NW
You have the devs making more bugs than they can fix and causing confusing by adding these stealth changes when people have to literally dig through the forums already just to check if something is a feature/bug.
I’ll be dumb enough to try it again when new weapons/content drop but for now I’m saving the SSD space.

People in this thread complaining about Peon reviewing the game for whatever reason are interesting. His review was very well done, and was done from the perspective of someone with hundreds of hours in game, and that has experienced all content this far released.
His making money from streaming this type of thing is 100% irrelevant as far as his credibility is concerned.
People just like to complain about anything and everything I suppose.

Excellent review. This game has a great foundation but everything else sucks and needs tremendous amount of re work.
I mean you are right about youtubers doing what they do. That being said, he really hits a lot of the points spot on for both pros and cons.
No kidding. AGS the past few weeks has been like, “We heard grinding end-game gear and watermarks was really hard so you’ve been farming easy bosses over and over. So we decided to patch that and make grinding even harder!”

This was the best pros/cons review I’ve seen for this game. Quite spot on, I hope the devs would actually watch and take notes because I think a very large portion of its player base agrees with these points.

I have little faith that this game will live up to it’s full potential given AGS’s track record so far… I would have to see some major restructuring in their leadership to think they’ll improve. Everything they try to improve gets worse.
Another idiot who actually doesn’t know the guy making a review nor even watched the video.

I don’t agree 100%, but it is good… I mean… we talk about that all the time in the forum… so nothing new, really.
For example, I don’t think that use your inventory moving is a good idea but take a look I think would be nice. (“the character is just remembering what it has in the bag”). But to make the action of using the inventory you have to stop.
The Gear change, I agree we need something to change it, but it can’t be instant like the weapons, need the stop moving and change (all the set with 1 click, I think the “F’s” keys are a nice place to bind) and of course out of combat.
About the rest I guess I agree… I read all of this in here, on the test phase tbh… The players are trying to help…
You’re a funny guy, ofc I watched his videos for years until all that dirt on him came out AND he actually admitted it, it’s a pity you obviously haven’t watched him as much. I decided I wouldn’t be one of the sheep that follow a sellout but you knock yourself out, where would the world be without sheep.
the copium/hopium addicts that tear down people with valid observations/critiques/issues/bugs/bad dev work are almost as annoying as the game not working.
I just don’t see the logic in denying super valid stuff like this beyond 1) them not being very smart, or 2) they think simping for a poorly made game will get them something?

I quite agree with every point he made.
(except the dupping ruining the economy, that’s just speculation on his end, the lack of gold injectors explains the current frustrating state of high end economy quite easilly by itself)

Spot on review. It looks pretty and is enticing up to about level 40 before it falls apart
