There is no reason to play bow

We did a test tonight, my 625 Lazarus bow hits my medium mage friend for mid 700s on light attacks. Full heavy attack with the bonus passive and headshot was only 2.5k.

I am running the best dex con combo of 300+ dex and 150 con.

he has full resilient, with 2 physical aversions and onyx gems. He could stack more physical aversion if he wanted to and it’d be worse. He is fire staff IG.

How could a bow ever beat this?

I mean just be realistic for a second… I am running the best bow in the game maxed to the tits and this guy has 11.5k health and I’m only hitting 700 per light attack with the hardest to hit weapon in the game. Also note that his FS hitbox is giant compared to mine with a faster fire rate. RIP to duels ill tell ya that.

As for my credentials I am 700 hour bow rapier main and have gutted out every nerf. With the new OPR damage points I am hitting top 5 most games using poison and rain of arrows. He still passes me on the leaderboard EVERY GAME.

Conclusion, med firestaff IG is better than bow in every scenario possible right now.

The only place a bow can shine is some poison + rain of arrows in group play. I don’t think that’s enough to keep people playing this build.

What is a good solution for the bow?

Sad… Been feeling this also.

Bow should be a light Armor pairing but lights literally mocked in game, for good reason.

I frames superior on med, heavy and med this patch now have far more chase than before with dodge mechanic changes.

I did a test today, 3k headshot pen shot on a light target with just 150 cons no aversion or resilient.

Devs should be banned from playing axe hammer for a few months.

I’ve put in 1100 hours as bow/spear, haven’t even bothered to level up any other weapons. But, right now I’m just PVE’ing cause that is all a bow is good for. With medium and heavy armor users including every perk in the game that counters bows physical and critical damage. There really is no point…

I guess thats the only good part of bow atm, Armor can be alot cheaper since you dont need a perk for bows :confused:

Bring back launch bow, and every bow user will stop complaining.
