You got to be kidding, right? In my opinion Fire Staff + Ice Gauntlet is the best dps build in the game for PvP at the moment.

I disagree, this is a fishing game, not any of this magic or melee type of stuff
You seem to live in your own universe.
Firestaff with flamethrower, paired with a rapier or ice gauntlet is pretty much meta atm

Yeah, Fire Staff is 100% gear reliant. That’s why some fire staff users are good. While others hit like a wet foam noodle.
You need to invest about $400 on RMT sites. To be able to buy the gold, needed to buy the gear to make fire staff good. Most melee weapons don’t suffer from this. And are mostly good right out of the box.
Or you could play the game yourself, instead of paying others to do it for you?

Sure while getting paid less than 500 gold per a quest. Or selling items for 1 gold each. While this gear cost over 2 million gold to buy. Very few are stupid any more.
Currently im about down do 65% or have to use pots before i even get into the range to start and use gapclosers. How is melee good out of the box lmao.
Then dont quest and dont sell items for 1 coin.
I have 4 very good gear sets and never bought coin. And we dont own territory.
The game throws coin at you whatever you do.
Btw: I crafted most of my gear myself.
@HagenZ if it took you less than 4 months of full work weeks grinding to craft that gear. Then you are one of the few, who was lucky to get RNG carried.
It did not take me less than 4 months. Why should it? This game is meant to be played for years, not days.
If anything it goes way too fast to get best gear.
@HagenZ Then your PvP scene becomes too exclusive, and only the geared play it. Because everyone else is fodder. So they stay far away, or quit the game. Hench, why there are servers. Where people beg people to queue up for PvP modes.
You people have to choose between a healthy inclusive PvP scene. Or are elitist grinder PvP scene that is barren. Koreans learnt this lesson and so have the other successful Western Devs teams. This is basic elementary.
If you dont take away from the progress that players put in im fine with that. Do you have an Idea how to include letting progress not go to waste and be including both?

Preach Brother. But People are fully against that. I also play MMORPGs cause of the Progress and the journey to get stronger and dominate more people.

@HagenZ If this is true. Then why are all of the vertical PvE gear based PvP MMOs struggling with player count. While the ones that offer inclusive or equalized PvP modes go on to hold the lion share of MMO fans.

ESO accessible No-CP battlegrounds.
GW2 completely equalized PvP and Ranked PvP arenas.
Lost Ark completely equalized Ranked PvP modes.
BDO’s T1 Node Wars. And as of two days ago, new completely equalized Arena of Solarie.
Meanwhile New World, ArcheAge, Eve Online, Bless Online/Unleashed, and all the rest of the vertical PvE gear based progression PvP MMOs. Have little playerbase or close to nill PvP interest in them.

I totally disagree. New World has mostly PvP players and Eve is all about PvP. If you are not in nullsec(or low) or a wormhole you dont even play the game
Else I can get behind ranked modes and battlegrounds (at least some) can be equalized.
But in Open World and “some” modes the gear should matter.
ESOs PvP is terrible unbalanced.
GW2 is fine but low playerbase compared to how good the game is due to no progression
Lost Ark is a PvE Game itself so i dont count that one
BDO? Brotherman i have more than 10k Hours in BDO and no you will never be able to compete even in T1 Nodewars. Havent tried the 3v3 arena yet

@HagenZ Most people said that Open World and Wars should be gear reliant. Most of the gone people pleaded to get at least one form of equalized PvP mode. So, they can have some fun in PvP. While they get geared to be a factor in the big league PvP. However, they was complete shot down by others.
