There is a 1s root on Grav well same with Ice Shower. During those durations none of those skills will work, add desync and you’re back to where you dashed from.
With the desync that will never be fixed and devs that have no idea how to balance the game, this games PvP will forever be a joke.
No build variety, everyone is using a handful of meta builds.
Lol after 1k hours I didnt know Ice shower is a root. With all the desync its really impossible to say.
You also get heavy slowed for 3s after getting out of Ice shower iirc and if you get hit by a heavy attack from IG you get rooted for another 1s. I’m at the office right now so I’m not sure if that’s accurate.
I think its 4 seconds slowed but thats pretty buggy. Idk if some people have freedom and thats why they are less slowed. But yeah I know that.
iirc freedom works, but good luck getting one. With the RNG craft it’s getting ridiculous lol
Not that expensive in TP with resil on it. But I rather attack perk + resil.
depending on server its like 1k to 5k a piece for a purple. good luck getting the weight class, the attribute, the pvp perk and the weapon perk to match though.
yeah but the bis would be your chosen perk + resil + freedom. RNG for that is insane if you don’t have the money for it.

Yeah but thats so rare that it doesnt get sold. If someone gets something like this he will sell it to his company. If someone would sell this with a meta perk it would probably go for 500k.
doesn’t those things only apply to standard attacks? Not skills? I’m not really sure on what they provide but if they do provide resistance to all phys or elem dmg then it’ll be better than resil

You can leaping strike (or any movement ability) out of an ice shower, but only after the root portion of frostbite has expired (1s)
The Heavy Slow portion of Frostbite, doesn’t start to countdown until you leave an Ice Shower (can’t sprint or dodge). Which is 3s total. But it can be 10seconds if you’re stuck inside an Ice Shower (Ice shower lasts 7s, + 3s slow on exit). That’s a long time of no dodges or sprinting while slow walking!
Basically, trade a movement skill cooldown for the duration of Ice Shower’s Frostbite debuff.
But…
Doesn’t change the fact random ice showers in large engagements are often not fun to fight in as a melee. Hopefully the fix to cleansing potions inside wars helps this issue. We should add cleansing potions to OPR

Too many contention points require large amounts of players to congregate.
Spread the fighting out into smaller batches over OPR/War/etc.

We own Luna and Sol, baron isn’t up. Ok everyone blobs onto the only other objective . Same can be said for wars
I may not be able to dodge or run, but that’s why I’ve got shield bash (for stuns), vault kick(for stun or repositioning, skewer for repositioning.
Yes, Random cc sucks and I am squishy which is why In large engagements I’m rarely ever in the thick of it. I opt to go for the backline healers, mages, and other squishier targets, although I can take heavy targets as well.
Cleansing pots in opr would be awesome
Ice rain is absolutely broken … for melees it feels like an 5 second full stun. FIVE !!! Gravity Well and scream get nerfed, but the big meta ice rain not? @AGS You definitly have to look at this spell for balancing reason.
See GA or WH: You get stuck in ice wall… you can’t move, can’t dodge, can’t block ranged dmg (except ice spike). What you can do is to die. As a melee in wars, a freezing rain is your certain death unless the opponents are abysmal. And believe me, there are dozens of ice rains.
