I have 315 dex, oricalcum arrows and a 578 GS bow and some headshots with all my bonus damage does not even 5 % damage on enemys with heavy armor and good perks…
But well, resilence and onyx stones are broken atm… If that gets fixed, it should be way better…
Things go even worse when you realise that most of these streamers are actually playing THIS for a year and still having a “SUPRISE FACE” because they don’t know what to play to get viewed anymore. Im dead serious, Windwalkers have literally the same oneshots for a year, same condemn warriors.
Bpw/spear works well behind front line. Shoot/aoe and jump on the guys that generally wreck the backline. Arrows hitting for 800-1000 on Frontline, probably not super geared folk, but that’s ok.
Lifestaff/debuff hatchet is another fun build to use in OPR. Never see enough heal debuff clouds out there.

GAXE NEEDS A BUFF. life staff users hit 1800 light attacks, my gaxe light attacks with 300 str are only 1200s lmao. theres no reason a gaxe should hit lower than a healing weapon.
as for war hammer just get good, its easy to dodge the stuns. you probably just suck. sucky people shouldnt be able to post in here because you ruin pvp for good players. every dps weapon hits 2 and 3 times what my gaxe does. including a healing weapon lmao
First, I am not level 60 yet and bow is interesting.
I have noticed on mobs the same type and level, on a headshot close up, I do less damage then when they are further away. In the picture there, it looks like the target is a good distance away.
I shoot targets even further away with my bow and love the realism of having to arc my shot otherwise the falloff of force combined with gravity causes a headshot to turn to a toe shot quickly (Which would be neat if we could aim for their feet for low damage but pin them for a few seconds).
I think that if we are going for realism, mid-far shot should be where our most damage is. Long range shots would lose force, while close up shots would not have gained as much momentum to create maximum force.
I was really hoping the PvP in this game would offer more diversity and roles since now in ESO everyone is running the same thing. I was hoping this would be a good game with some nice PvP diversity. But once again, there is a clear winner with builds, and you get laughed at if you take any dexterity build into PvP.
You have a skill to get exactly what you ask for: shooting in the feet will slow them. But the other one is better (headshot dmg).
The bow is very good in PvE, with proper build and items it can be powerfull in PvP but it will not reach to WH or GA unfortunately.
I don’t want realism, I prefer fun. I really like this game but we have to admit it is really unbalanced. Still, I’m keeping hope and waiting for the many fixes to come to balance it more and more and maybe in few weeks/months we will have it properly balanced !
