This game needs a PvP ruleset

Lmao… The world doesn’t rotate around you… PVE players don’t care what you do with your life. What’s wrong with having optional PvP… if you want to PvP you turn yours on and hopefully, eventually you’ll find someone to fight. It’s hilarious that you’re saying PVE players want everyone to be PVE when is the complete opposite

The majority of the playerbase is still leveling. Once they reach level 60, a lot more will flag. Just give it some time.

Which is sad, because world PvP while levelling is some of the most fun I’ve had in MMOs over the years

look at this pve player thinking we’re still on his server somewhere

we’re already long gone… eyeballin the pvp wave of upcoming fresh classic wow, cause amazon flushed NW world pvp down the toilet forever

your userbase missed out on a golden opportunity… and it’s a shame, cause pvp is really fun in this game

…and I’m not talking about bumping shoulders in your war zerg… MOOO

Phew, so glad you’ve all got somewhere to go.

That certainly seems to be the attitude of amazon games with regards to pvp players.

I’m just left confused, because this game was marketed to me? Were they just interested in the street cred, or did they waffle on their own design at the last minute?

Seems like a cash grab to me, because all the design points to pvp. They’re one step away from having major gaas, brother… but don’t take my word for it, read the book!

Please define exactly what you mean by this.

simple… same as pve, except it’s not possible to unflag

like, what’s with the big setup?.. it’s just a popularity contest to see who gets to go to the 50 vs 50 battle of inept pve players that bump into each other?

i don’t need xp or extra pvp rewards

if there is something fun or worth doing in your world, there will be competition and fun pvp

no setup required

You already cannot unflag, except by returning to town.

So, what I gather from you is that you want to force everyone to flag, all the time, everywhere.

HELL NO.

on a single ruleset that is only a small percentage of servers

fuck yes!

what is wrong with you pve goons that I have to play like you?

What’s wrong with you PvP goons that you think it’s a good idea to try and force other people to play like YOU …?

maybe you don’t get it

i don’t want to change your server, genius

It’s true, already so few people flag. I have played ONLY flagged since level 10 (now lvl 45), so I know how many people are doing it.
When I have to run around doing the PvE stuff for hours on end without running into a single flagged player, it honestly drives me nuts. Some of the only excitement I get is running into people.
People have these pre conceived ideas that they will just get ganked, but let me tell you this, the few people I HAVE ran into, were all solo players. Haven’t seen a lot of ganking at all. Sure, i’ve seen it maybe…twice? but it’s not a reason to be scared and make excuses for youselves.
One thing someone suggested is to just give us a PvP Island, No expeditions there, just things to gather and territories to capture.

Yet its PvE players like you that benefit from being able to transfer gear through storehouses and get the extra xp that the PvP “Goons” work so hard to earn for you.

usually what happens, is the game begins as full pve, but as time goes, we will see more and more full pvp features. Once a game has sold, something like 80% of pve players are casual so will leave anyway.

To milk the pvp players, they then switch to them. I would not be surprised at all

you don’t get it either… there is no such thing as ‘wait for it’ pvp, later or max level or whatever the story is

there is the wave of players leveling up and playing your game

or an empty server… decades of pvp mmos have spoken

It was more because the difficulty in creating updates that cater to both PvE and PvP players.

There have been successful PVP games and successful PVE games. When the game tries to cater to both, that’s where the loss happens. PVP players don’t really like that some people aren’t flagged. PVE players aren’t going to flag no matter what it gives them. Then you have a subset that likes to PVP but only in arenas. So know you are going to try to cater all of these people which will never work, or go with one and leave the rest behind.

I really think people just need an outlet for pvp that doesn’t involve pk’ing people who aren’t trying to PvP. If they had done a level 10-59 territory rush, it would be loaded with players. Instead there’s just a 60-60 territory rush and how long will it take before there’s forty level 60 players that want to pvp each other in this game mode at the exact same time when they’ve never been exposed to something like this during their entire leveling process?
