This is complete BS. STILL no word on the 25% increased requirement on high tier crafts needed to level 150-200 in Armoring, Engineering, and Weaponsmithing. This represents a DOUBLE nerf to crafting

Yeah sorry, I couldn’t realize that we’re 1 year in to game and people maxed all of their crafting skills to 200 in like 8-10 months.

You maxed your craft skills with double refining mat events, little experience requirements and by just spamming t1-2 items then you’re trying to call me unlogical? You’re pathetic.

Obsidian flux is 2.4g each atm in my server, come try to play with new character and level up them all to 200 in 1 month then, if it’s close enough. But yeah milking us is more fun, you’re right.

I was lucky enough to get my JC to 200 Pre Patch, Armoring to 197 Pre Patch, and I did Engineering after the patch, just spammed Orichalcum Bullets. Needles to say my server will never run out of Bullets at 0.10 per bullet.

Weapon smithing I can’t touch. I am at 169 and Orichalcum is soo expensive right now that I cannot touch Weapon smithing. Same with IronWood Planks.

There is a slight cheating method lol. Craft Orichalcum Void Gauntlets that Require Infused Leather and Salvage for Orichalcum Ingots, But that is still rediculous.

Yes.

I am not pathetic. I am who I am. You are full of assumptions. You want to cry, the corner is over there.

I am not 200 in everything. I am 200 in probably the most painful: furnishing. I am 195 in Engineering, 190 in weaponsmithing, 175 in armorsmithing. I did not get there by spamming t1-2 items. So !@#% off with your whining crap.

GO FARM the flux. In one hour I can get about 200 of them. It isn’t that hard. Or are you that person that feels entitled.

L2Play and stop QQing carebear.

Get AGS devs to make another 2-3x refining mats event then I’ll farm it lol. 200 flux will get you nowhere and you know it too but you are just a clueless little child I get it. Have fun with your milk.

I get it. I really do.

You have a platform to whine. Congrats. Whine all you want. Cry so much it creates a river.

I know exactly how far 200 flux gets me.
I know exactly the cost it is to use material converters.
I know exactly the benefits of + gear for certain crafting.

I know that in 90 minutes I can wind up with about 300 of each of the t5 reagents.

I also know that getting from 0 to 200 is not going to happen in 20 minutes. If it follows the fishing 0 to 200 it will probably take about 40 to 60 hours of time. You are NOT compelled to be 200. You want to be 200. Just because you WANT to, doesn’t mean that they will make it easy for you.

So again . . . learn to play. The game rewards those that are 200 (well next patch) for their time and gold investment. You can choose to participate or not. I suspect though, that you will just sit here and whine.

So again . . . . . . . They already made it easy for you guys and you’re in the high ground. You know that you’re acting like a fool just because you upped your crafts in easy mode and you enjoy watching us while we’re bleeding to death with these absurd crafting exp nerfs.

Your ‘‘learn to play blah blah blah’’ statements doesn’t make sense in any way.

By the time I get my crafts to a level where I can make stuff people will want to buy, there will be no one needing to buy anything.

Gratz to those that made crafting a priority at the start, and had help from others.

The force is strong in this one, though I sense some darkness. Do not let others bring you to the dark side…power you may feel, but no happiness.

The thing I hate most is that after you’ve spent all that currency or like me farmed it out, you then need to farm / buy the three purple and three Orange trophy reagents. Total value of all three is around 150,000 and the way to get them is wear luck and pray. When are they going to tie them to a crafting quest or achievement. They’re way to expensive for people that don’t own a territory. We have people on our server with all three that will craft for low tips. So why would I bother. Trophy’s are a great idea, but the way of obtaining the materials needs to change.

The AGS team has no creativity. Edited: in my opinion.

Wow… way to make sure AGS doesn’t respond here. Pointless, unconstructive attacks.

It was not an attack, neither is it pointless. It is a very simple fact. Or do you think, needing 10 iron bars to make a skinning knife, as one small example, that the current crafting is creative?

Perhaps your definition of creativity and mine differ? Perhaps you think time gates and creativity are the same thing, If so, my mistake.

Honestly the fact that they haven’t addressed any of this is an insult to every player. Just waiting for the cash shop to get boosts now because it’s obviously what they’re pushing for.

I think it’s okay to dislike particular decisions, like what happened with crafting. But I think it’s illogical, an overstatement, overly dramatic… to say an entire group of people, who designed a game that a lot of us enjoy (maybe even yourself), “has no creativity.”

The OP provides a very constructive outline of feedback on the topic - why he doesn’t like it, parts that he’s okay with, parts that he’s not. Seems like the kind of stuff that’s pure gold to a game developer.

“I don’t like this decision and thus no one who works at AGS has any creativity” ← I’m not sure what anyone would do with that, aside from dismiss it and keep reading on. That’s all I’m saying.

Adding vertical grind is not a good way to increase engagement. Doing 1000 hour of a tedious activity is not fun. competing for nodes in the world to get money to buy mats to make a minimal dent in your progress is not fun. Having to see people who got level 200 the easy way while your struggling through the mud is not fun. Revamp this system, you’ve already solved your issue with the new progression system after level 200, barring us out of the endgame crafting progression will only make us Angry it won’t add a sense ‘pride and accomplishment’.

Yeah its rough go out into the wild literally walk back encumbered with gathered stuff and you make a hand full of things and maybe get a level.

super unrewarding

I would squirrel away mats and have like a crafting session to try and feel the reward of invested time but storage doesn’t permit that noise.

i though a lot about this and I am beginning to think this was done in response to the game bleeding players. just to delay people/slow them down in an effort to prolong peoples time in game.

The entire crafting system is beyond terrible now. I’ve seen so many people leave the game specifically because of the crafting system taking a neckbeard level of time to level now.

@Kay @Luxendra - This thread is still awaiting a response. This is a reoccurring sentiment on the forums since Into the Void dropped and has never once been addressed as to, yes it’s intended, or were discussing it.

Can we just get a statement on if what is currently in game is what was intended?? Because it is contradictory to the stated goal in the patch notes for the changes.

Not to mention, now they double down on this nerf by removing the gathering yield benefit of the town card. Now it’s a speed card instead of yield. While this may “fix the labeling issue” it also is going to remove 30%+ of the harvest for many people. This is even more node farming, even more work, to get what people before us have already gotten much easier.

Honestly sometimes I wonder if they’re trying to make us quit…?
