I can only imagine how bad the queues will be when we hit prime time in North and South America and adding servers isn’t going to address the problem.

Many people are queued up to play with friends and company mates from alpha and beta so they’re not going to just move on to another world. The only things that will reduce queue times is people refunding or adding servers to the clusters increasing the capacity of the worlds.

Clearly a LOT of people took off to play first thing on Day 1 but many couldn’t so however bad it may seem now it’s only going to get worse later.

Anyone that took the day off is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. This is what happens with every major MMO release.

After experiencing several launch days for games I am just sitting it out, watching streamers, and planning to log in later in the week when most of the initial craziness has died down and Amazon has done some tweaking. I will be behind a bunch of other players leveling wise but the sky won’t fall down if I am…

Keep in mind that “took the day off to play” has a somewhat different meaning now, with so many office workers still working from home. I’ll bet many of the people sitting in queues, as well as the people whose characters are in the game, standing still in a city, are working from home.

I agree that it’s going to get worse from here for a bit as the day wears on in the US. I was in for 3.5 hours from US East launch and had to log off for RL things. I fully expect that I won’t be able to log back in without a truly massive queue for a number of days, so when I do log in again I will expect to be waiting for quite some time.

Bleh … made it from the ~4300’s to the 2500’s in a bit over 3 hours and crashed out of the queue. Now I’m back in again at 7620 which sounds about right for logging in tomorrow.

your right about it going to become worse before it gets better but EU servers shouldn’t be effected by America getting more active least not as long as their servers are open,
and the que times will go down since its depends on the zone,
in the starting zone theres a ton of people and tons are trying to login there so the ques is massive there,
i got outside of the starting zone and my que is only at 300, while at the starting area its a few K,

altho time wise i dont think it helps me much since i have to wait for an open spot in that zone and more people leaving the starting area and getting to the zone im in got the number to very slowly go down altho its only taken about an hour to go from 300 to 95
