This is how end game wars looks like now on many servers. people using poor engine coding that was supposed to support survival game, not MMO. This is how you win wars in this game…
AND HONESTLY IT’S NOT THEIR FAULT THEY PLAY AND USE SKILLS THAT GAME OFFERS
Some company leaders don’t even pretend and make fun of it
The coding in this game is just so bad… I really don’t understand it. I mean this sometimes even happens in dungeons where only 5 players are available (no, it has nothing to do with your own hardware). How is this possible?
I mean Wars and those big PvX battles are the main selling point for content in this game, yet everything doesn’t work properly, doesn’t work at all or is plagued by FPS drops and lag. How? Why?
Those AOE effects from healing and ice gauntlet… look so terrible, and they are probably the main cause of this huge lag.
Just saying, how is this ok on any developer eye … to see these clusterfucks of effects… geez.
Imagine if AGS took a Square Enix, realised that the game has more problems than they can solve by paches and just scrap it all and begin anew. Thank heavens they did that on FF14, since A Realm Reborn really shows that you can make a success out from a poor start point, as long as you admit to your mistakes and own up to them.
I’ve never done any war but, I can out form that video hear my GPU moan and complain. I’m already having weird PC freezes every now and then so that would probably have made a toasty fire out of my rig. I have to concede that the game is poorly optimised from the core up. Hopefully AGS can fix it, but, I think they’re going way too much down the Blizzard route right now, that is putting their head in the sand and wait for the storm to blow over.
Let’s be honest, the game is still in the beta … these game breaking bugs should not exist in a fully realeased game. They need to fix thoses things asap alongside with the azoth staff bug and the respawn rates, dungeon lag-outs etc. No reason to defend AGS on this. The game is amazing and i love it but they need to step it up if they want it to last.
Question is, do they have that time? Lets face it, there are way more options now than before in terms of MMO. When WoW was released, it was sort of its own master for quite some time, due to the other MMOs at the time was way more grindy and less appealing to players. So WoW had kind of a free card to fix all their bugs and problems over the years with little risk of people bailing.
New World however is out in a time where that isn’t the case. I’m afraid that they don’t have the time needed to “fix” everything before people starts finding other games to play. Per example just now in end of November is the newest FF14 expansion out, 19th of November for those of us who pre-purchased it.
And New World isn’t even subscription based, they rely on cosmetic sales to generate revenue. Less players, less revenue generated. How long will Amazon allow AGS to continue on a game that doesn’t generate revenue?
There are problems in this game that were there way back before first open beta, and they are still not even touched. Game problems are stacking up, cheats and exploit using are only a minor piece of that pile. Considering that game have huge gameplay design problems and some mechanics are useless or community is destroying them (for example market prices going down due to flodding it). Developers seem be like ooh you know that game is easy to fix it will be all fixed soon, and that is BS current state of the game requires new content becouse endgame is trash, and fixing current problems will take a lot of time, it’s kind of like with cyberpunk only problems in new world are not t posing and animations bugs but have more to do with game design.
It’s weird though, cause I feel like it was better in Open Beta and also on release. Then suddenly on the “repeater hit scan patch” it went back to this again. I’m not sure if it is related at all or if now more people have higher-level ice gauntlets and the AOE effects are just stacking to infinity and beyond…but yeah - it’s closed-beta bad again.
Seeing that wars are currently the PVP end-game, this needs urgent attention.
