Sure you’re playing New World and not something else?
From what I’ve seen so far FireStaff damage is mediocre at best compared to Great Axe or Rapier, while Ice gaunlet (which is SUPPOSED to be the CC based weapon) has little CC in terms of movement lock and stun, only some imperceptible slow that people can just roll out of unless you heavy attack (which takes about 2s to launch) WHILE they’re slowed.

BTW, anyone can convert any equipment.
