This Musket Nerf Is Too Much - Change my Mind

I got a lot of build but at the end I can call myself musket main as I play the most with it.
I meet toons light healers that were un-kill-able on musket due to resists.
I made toons of builds and I rly have a feeling that paper musket build dont deal any more dmg than any other paper build (mage, bow etc.) Its all a matter of accepting a fact that you need to have some resist. I dont cry on my musket when I die on two autos from hatchet. That’s what I equipped.
@Pointe someone that has 15k hp and get hit by 500 - no I don’t think they cry about muskets :slight_smile:

How many people do you think are running around with 15k HP in heavy armor. Not many.

Not many because a lot of ppl expect to be immortal with light 50 con build with resilient at best. Those ppl will die with same ease from paper mage on 2 autos/skills or other paper great sword or assassin blunder. The only difference I see here is mages/blunder (whatever) have AOE and from time to time can burst whole stack. Musket will have range however 0 AOE or build in escapes. So its not like musket has only advantages. Mele weapons have stagers slows, cc etc. There is no escape once someone sits on you when you play musket. And after range nerf I actually see that rock muskets went away and I see more musket mains joining me in forts etc. (rock campers actually went away from my observation, only “mains” stayed on OPR so the ppl that actually enjoy musket) My honest opinion after playing many classes is that after range nerf musket is in pretty good spot. Perhaps more dmg fall off can be applied so we can force muskets to play even closer. Making shots RNG - probably worst way to “balance it”. From my perspective last nerf was actually buff as I was playing close anyway and I received possibility to move when loading skills :). Before that standing still for 3 sec made it almost impossible to use skills in close range. Making it RNG also removes skill part from this weapon as well. At the end of the day I have headshot perk in my musket as from my perspective it is almost perma 15% dmg bonus. With those changes what the point as most reasonable approach is aim in body so RNG hits in hand, stomach, leg. Head hitbox is to small to leave it for RNG.

You had your moment when the musket was OP. Stop crying and move on, go on, run along and collect your rattle from the ground.

It is now someone else’s time to enjoy their weapons.

neither do i, at least now they’ll have to use every other mechanic used in other fps: Shoot while standing

It was never OP at first place xD Also nerf on Mortal empowerment is so unnecessary and only ppl that never had killing streak 3 and above support it. This per was so bugged that you could be 20/0 and have only 4 stack on it.
Again I have a feeling that 5-50 con players are haters of this weapon. I was never flamed on OPR by person that was medium/heavy with some resists.
From musket perspective when you play OPR you shot different targets and you check how much dmg you do. You Hit some medium for 2k with 200 con - you just leave it. You hit light healer main that has like 50% resist. You leave it. Then you hit light great sword for 5k. All you have to do is hit him second time and puff: “musket is to OP”

So all it is about is you want to do maximum dmg and instead of adjusting your build you expect everyone else to be nerfed so you can actually apply your DMG. Considering what they proposed in OPR you know who will be next enemy? Bows… if they nerf bow to ground you know who will be next enemy who is to OP? Mages… because “range”. Whats next? I don’t know - maybe game will just die. And the reason will be lack of different playable classes because 10% of most radical haters are creating like 80% of most vocal feedback.

50% resists vs what mate? trust ? Cool couse i can go 55% fire dmg. Fire? Then you take trust dmg + i can convert my dmg into void or nature. What are u smoking out there?

What am I smoking? All I see you cut of parts of my post to prove something without context. Yes ppl should die on 2 shots from musket when they build like paper. You know why? Here is other part of same post

You are wrong and this patch will prove you how wrong you are mate.

Also: mage cant kill in 2 autos lol. Also mage effective range is 15m.
Also: gs cant 2 auto kills to even as op as it is. Also it has to be on you do do dmg in first place.

So yea good way proving you dont know what using brain means.

PS. Enjoy musket starting from april 2023 mate :slight_smile:

Yes, you have aversions, fortify, gems you can push some thrust. Once you combine all of this you can have massive resists. You just need to go beyond blue item with resilient.

While I am trying to provide some arguments it is clear you are running out of those. Yes you can kill those papers with 2 autos. You dont like autos? Fine - smash them with 2 skills - same result. All this patch will prove that haters will keeping dying but from different source - that’s it.

And I will kill them with different builds. They move grit to 300 con so this will open so many possibilities. And you will keep dying because of reasons described above. Nahh I will roll my musket to different perks and you will keep dying to this musket on close range. What will be your excuse then? Nothing will change beside that instead landing headshots on this 15 m range you will receive body shots. I cant wait to see this surprised Pikachu faces when you still get hit for 5k on close range xD

I was playing same game - my builds were just accommodating fact that muskets exist in this game. Beside of blunder/ice build I think I haven’t done any other paper build. It was always some kind of balance. Another example that came to my mind - same papers can be killed by healer with 3/4 autos as they are smashed for over 2k from live staff while having 6k hp.
