After an entire month it’s only minor bug fixes. Ridicolous. And you know what is funnier? All the stuff they “”""""“fixed”""""""" made everything worse.
THIS PATCH ENTIRELY BROKE THE GAME.
Grav Well “”""“fix”"""": armor perk proc more consistent and better hitbox, AND, now grav procs 3 times. All wars are already a grav fiesta, 3x worse than it already was. Imagine getting 3 gravs, all dealing 9k damage. Plus whatever other skill. I could wipe 4 people by MYSELF, light, medium, HEAVY.
Sword and shield attributes “”"""""""“fix”""""""""": now attributes are applied even when not having sword and shield in hands; SO ARE THE SHIELD PERKS, so you get a weapon with double vicious, double keen, double enchanted. Combine that with GREAT AXES and you get the new absolutely marvelous meta.
3.No fix here; for some reason, you know can unlimitedly stack attributes by upgrading tempest named item from epic to legendary while equipping them (you’ll get 25+ attributes point as “item buff” and will remain when you remove the gear, so possibly stacking attributes points unlimitedly). AMAZING EVER WANTED TO PLAY WITH 600 STR AND 300 CON? NO? HOW ABOUT 600 STR AND 600CON AND 600DEX? Entirely possible, just spam the dungeon and use all the useless shards you have. FIXED THANK GOD

This game got entirely ruined by the incompetence of the devs. I dont care this gets fixed in a week (which won’t), because these ridicolous bugs have ALWAYS happened: dupes, gold dupes, hatchet crap TWICE; and it will keep happening everytime.
Just to be more precise: it’s absurd how much attention they give to ga, how they wont address how OP and meta defining grav is, how they actually overbuffed it; how they are so out of touch with their game.
I think everything that happening lately is just sad. I dont know if they are that understaffed or that incompetent or what else is the reason for releasing all these untested patches but its sad.
I mean, how much testing would this SnS bug or the Grav bug would require? Or the 600gs crafting? All these thing would have been found with 30 minute of testing or just loading up the game, they either dont care or dont have the capacity. I hope its the second one because that can be improved.
the only reasonable thing i can think of is probably they are trying to squeeze as much as they can from this game before nuking it. It’s impossible to have such an horrible management
Didn’t even know about the 3rd point, and I thought it was bad enough LOL. Still waiting on a nerf to the actual blunderbuss issue (sword/bb 1 shot combo) that actually got buffed instead this patch haha.
Ah thanks for letting me know. Now I know why the musket guy who hits me in medium full resil for 3.7k wears a shield. Thought they made a insane buff on the musket. Wouldn’t even surpsise me if they did and if the grav well was intended. Devs somehow want to nerf some weapons to the ground but buff some super strong weapons even more for some reason, while weapons like hatchet are still dead.
Same story every patch. My vote goes to incompetence, you cant make the same mistakes over and over and expect your player base to be ok with it.
I would hope they move in a different direction in terms of management, but I am doubtful the higher ups even know enough about game development to recognize that there is a problem. Shoulda stuck to selling books.
I was wonder why yesterday, I was getting so high dps, 5 times checked maybe I am wearing crafting or luck gear, but no … I was wonder what is going on xd
They want this game to fail. Is it not obvious yet? They keep messing stuff up on purpose. When they started getting players to come back they merged and scared them and veteran players away. Now this patch. The sooner they close the servers they sooner they can start working on another project with new leadership lol
Elder Scrolls Online and New World made me appreciate MMOs like Black Desert Online and Guild Wars 2. You can objectively take measure on another game. When you know where the bottom is. And currently New World is the bottom of the barrel for the MMO genre.
I’ve also noticed, that very few gamers will stand for a terrible game. However the ones that do are fanatical at best. They will do their damnest to chase away any type of negative opinions about their games. Even if it means hurting their game.
Then you have have the fools, that no person of influence will take serious. Who threaten with ultimatums after ultimatums that they don’t stick to. I mean would you pay attention to someone who says they’ll quit if things get worst. And you made things worst from them 5 months in a row. Then you see they’ve put thousands of more hours in. All the while continuing to say they’re going to quit.
New World was indeed an interesting social experiment. Only a few ended up trapped. The many on the other hand, escaped the maze. I’ll chalk this up as a win for gamers at large.
They may seem incompetent to the unattentive. However, AGS have been incredibly methodical and concise with their dealings with New World. They’ve basically crowd funded a social experiment without sporting most of the bill. Tho the result may have been lower than they’ve imagine. All and all experiment success!
Fixed an issue with the Great Axe Weapon Perk Insatiable Gravity Well that caused inconsistent activation and no VFX. Removed an unintended 1 second root applied to targets next to the caster when the perk activated.
Ohh ok, anyway time to take another break from this game, yeaterday OPR’s exp was really bad I was not sure if I run in luck or craft gear or in pvp gear I felt squishy like never… Gravity Well never hit me that hard I was able to survive 2-3 gravities now my 13k HP is gone in 2-3 secs again I started feel a lot of desync on void blade which after previous patch seems gone …
