Thoughts on barnacles and brimstone sands expedition requiring multiple gear sets?

I do it real simple. I got corruption ward gear. I do mutations when a corruption dungeon is in rotation. When the other ones are up. I don’t do them.

The gear management in this game is so atrocious. NO WAY in hell am I going into a dungeon that requires multiple loadouts. No sir.

The systems are already in place for PVP only gear and they are merging plentiful arrows into plentiful ammo.

Merge all the ward sets into one.

PVE only: absorb 4.9% of PVE enemy damage.

You could even make it just “absorb 4.9% of expedition damage.”

Im glad im not the only one frustrated by this, i feel like ags is in for a world of complaints when new and returning players realize these two dungeons are gonna require several diff sets. As of right now, i got through m10 barnacles and just dont wanna do it ever again bcuz of the bosses being two completely diff mobs. I was really looking forward to the new expedition but if they dont fix something i really dont wanna do it.

I really like the absorb 4.9% of expedition dmg idea.

Doing the same thing. There are multiple corrupted dungeons, so it’s easier

This is also a topic I made as well, unfortunately, none of the people from whom I’ve tagged responded in any way. “We hear you and we see you” quote for player feedback to them is falling of deaf ears.

Sorry the ward sets are too far in to fix into PVE wards. The only likelihood is that they will add more ward requirements. So just start preparing, eventually you will get enough ward gears from the other dungeons you are running anyway.

We have the sets. But organizing them in storages and bringing multiple sets to a dungeon is a total headache.

1 year has passed and we still don’t have loadouts or the ability to create new tabs in our inventory or sort our gear in any way what so ever. It’s pretty shocking.

But then again we still can’t see the difference between friendly and enemy spells like sacred ground or ice shower neither. There are many things that are quite shocking they haven’t been fixed yet.

In any case. I do corruption mutations. Once we get gear loadout system i will start doing the other mutations

i don’t mind i like dungeons being different and i enjoy having some switch up in factions

but i do agree that the inventory system makes this more annoying and game needs to let us have gear sets or loadouts that we can quickly switch between

I didnt even realize, i do wish they would give your post a response

I have all the ward sets just to clarify, my issue is mainly with having to use 2 or 3 potential sets in barnacles and brimstone given the current inventory mess.

I carry all my ward sets with me so it’s no big deal

but wasting 30 seconds of time

It sucks, another form of gatekeeping…grind out 18 different sets of ward gear!!! Watch brimstone dungeon require mutli dear loadouts possibly one for every boss

Hmm, it is annoying.

The simplest form of management is to organise based on time (I do this for crafting sets, so take off or put on at same time).

For BB it is a pain, half works method is I have organised by gearscore and try to empty out my existing gear as much as possible.

I like it. Anything that creates friction against a cookie cutter min/max comp makes the instances more interesting and strategic.

I love the fact that it’s multiple mob types
Infact they should add a raid with 3/4 different mobs
I don’t see y ppl complain it’s not hard to change sets

If you already have the sets then it’s not that big of a deal it’s more of an inconvenience. At least with Brimstone it sounds like it’s half and half so you change halfway through the dungeon. Barnicles is kinda dumb that it’s just the last boss so you have to have a special ward set, weapon, coating and gems for just one boss fight. The gems are actually the annoying part as they are expensive to buy and tough to make a ton just farming yourself. And leveling sets with shards is obviously time consuming if you have limited play time.

I like the fact they are making mixed dungeons, Barnicales is lost, beast and angry earth so it’s fun in concept but a pain with the huge number of amour, weapons, coatings, gems, trophy etc you need to make it happen.

Honestly at the end of the day you don’t need ward sets. It’s a community placed stipulation because it allows shit players to not get 1 shot in a m10.

If you know what your doing you never really need ward, it’s just nice because it allows you to run lower con or light builds without worrying about getting clapped so the run goes quicker.

My issue isn’t even needing multiple gear sets it’s the annoyance of having to carry a million pieces of gear around to suit my need and have no way to quickly switching gear.

ok champ. You have a terrible opinion.

My expectation when running PUG M10s is that players know what they are doing, which means they are warded. This is a progression-based game and I expect players to have actually progressed. If they haven’t progressed then they don’t actually know how to play this game and are wasting everyone else’s time. It is literally a waste of time when we are capped at 25 mutations runs.

If you are interested in a casual gaming experience that does not require progression to be good, then stick to PvP arenas please and don’t waste anyone else’s time.

Calm down mate like the other guy said it’s nice to have ward set and easy to get in if u have ward set but it’s not a absolute necessity
Not about progression just about if u want to have a specific set or not
