Thoughts on messing with Wards and Banes

So after 3000+ hours in the game I finally have a very nice set of armor/weapons/jewelry optimized for each enemy type. Took so much time, resources and coin to get where I am today. Finally just last night got that last piece of Harbinger armor.

Because of some s*******e, AGS is going to render all that gear redundant or obsolete. Even if they create one ward and one bane to replace all wards and banes, players will end up with so much duplicate gear that cannot be sold/given away. Once size does not fit all.

Replace all wards and banes with a generic version? Better make all NPC’s deal the same damage and become vulnerable to the same damage, otherwise what’s the point?

AGS either nurfs the game for noobs or pisses off end game players. Gotta grind for proper gear? So what? That is what progression is all about. If someone does not like it, they are free to play something else and not ruin it for those who have spent a great deal of time playing.

Why not create a new universal Ward/Bane and leave the current ones in place?
