Threat, something seems off

Last night my friends and I were running Dynasty. We got to the Isabella fight with the two tigers.

We failed multiple times on it. The problem was that the Tigers, completely ignored the Tanks taunt, using both SnS and Hammer taunts to come directly to me. I was the healer and I had not laid down a single heal once they were out of the cages.

Is threat carried over from the Isabella fight? That seems odd to me.

This morning, again I was in my heal build. I pulled the grey “elite” mob right outside of the Temple in Ebonscale, Emperor Prang, I think.

He ran up the hill and attacked another player that was just standing on top of the hill. That player was literally just standing there. He/she had not attacked at all.

The only thing that I have changed on my build recently was switching the Mighty Kismet earring for the Shard of Lithomancy (which has a Carnelian in it for threat reduction).

These experiences seems a little odd to me. Are you guys sure that threat is working properly since the change to the Carnelian gems?

I play as a tank and it just takes a tiny bit of practice to know when to taunt properly. Get the tank to take the dog near the door, stand between the dog and your team on the other side just infront of the gate and as soon as his health bar pops up hit defiant stance. The dog may run away for a second but will come straight back

I think that life staff isn’t suppose to threat monster like it does now. I am not a tank, but I heard countless times when tank is complaining about it, that he just spend all his taunt ability, and monsters keep switching for healer … in pvp it doesn’t matter at all, in pve it’s annoying, cause the tank doesn’t have abilities to taunt monsters each 2 seconds…

Taunting should be changed, or in general life stuff shoudln’t trigger monsters as it does now.
