I don't think anyone is going to argue that the throwing tree is nearly as strong as the berserker tree for the hatchet. This is really disappointing because throwing the hatchet is probably the most satisfying ranged attack in the game IMO. Right now it's just not viable to make a build based only on the ranged attacks, and berserker is pretty much required to use the hatchet and not get laughed at. Maybe for an improvement, make the ranged attack scale mainly with Dex, and make at least one of the attacks AOE, like rending throw can pass through enemies or something. The worst thing about the throwing tree is definitely the final perk, making debuffs last longer is just not even comparable to having a second life from the berserker tree.
Agreed. Since the last patch I have also noticed the accuracy of the hatchet is off. It hits to the side of the target often now, especially from a distance. I don’t mind them fixing any sort of exploit but why do that? I only PVE with my hatchet and throwing was my fav thing to do to get somethings attention from afar so I could switch to my GA while it was coming at me. Suddenly now I am often missing.
