I’m not going to call this an exploit, even though I’d like to. I will definitely call it against the spirit of the game.
Covenant has been the dominant PVP faction on Folkvangr for a few weeks, easily maintaining control of 6 territories. Syndicate, while still controlling 4 territories, did so only on territories that weren’t as valuable. Over this past several days, however, a Syndicate company with ties to Covenant took the remaining territory from the Marauders and then was seemingly gifted a territory from Covenant for the purpose of temporarily making Syndicate the dominant faction.
This has allowed numerous players from both Syndicate and Marauders to faction swap to Covenant, particularly those who were unable to best Covenant in PVP, with the expectation that with their ranks bolstered, Covenant will then easily retake the territory they gave up, and perhaps the rest of the map.
Should this kind of gameplay even be allowable? Circumventing the methods AGS has in place to prevent joining the dominant faction just seems to be poor play and is potentially very damaging to the balance of power on the server.
