Thwarting Strikes and counter on ice g, and Invigorated punishment

Those perks are for melee only. Invigorated punishment works as intended now. Also, check out the new world database website, you can see perk rolls for craftable items on there with their % chance. For example look up ā€œorichalcum ice gauntlet nwdbā€ on google and it should be the first result

some perks are specific to some weapons, you can always take a look at perks at nwdb.info to see what perks you can have on weapon/armor and which ones exclude each other

Read here, these are people complaining about it.(also there are some pictures with thwarting strikes on ice g) Some magic abilities have grit on them. This is why i would like this perk. The nwdb website doesnt seem to show it. So maybe they removed it… can a dev confirm?

ye we got some skills with grip.
meteor shower for example :joy:

Hello and welcome to the forums @SirAcorn and thank you @Saroth, @Xalyim, and @Properso for your good answers on this,

Thank you for your questions regarding perks. These seem to have been correctly answered by your fellow Aeternum Dwellers so do not hesitate marking their responses as the solution if that is the case.

I will keep an eye on this thread in case you have any other questions.

See you in Aeternum! :wolf:

An IG with wind chill perk on it + thwarting strikes would do decent DMG

U can get thwarting strike in fire staff that is not melee weapon i think is the only ranged weapon can roll it

My question wasnt answered lol i just want to know if the perk is still available on an ice gauntlet. :upside_down_face: simple yes or no would be good enough for me from a dev.

Yeah i have a fs with thwarting and incinerate perk. 32% dmg buff is nice.

Windchill, meteor shower, incinerate. Incinerate is already high damage since it hits twice. Now add 32% dmg buff to that. Its super nice. Meteor shower is okay, if you add the onyx gem and get to the middle outpost quick enough, youll do 1100-1500 dmg to anyone who walks through the door. Windchill has low dmg until you add the perk 40% more dmg. This is why i want thwarting, id get 40% dmg increase and since it has grit id get another 12% with the perk making the move do 92% weapon dmg, plus the additional 25% when you hit a freezing target.

Good ideas @SirAcorn yea Ice Gauntlet does have grit now with the Unbroken Winds perk but Thwarting Strikes is not in the perk buckets for crafting for some reason. It would be a nice little boost option for wind chill IG enjoyers. Even on PTR right now you can use Drop of Ironwood sap on Fire Staff but not Ice Gauntlet. Maybe they will look into it as an option?

That is upsetting… people complaining about it being in the perk bucket is probably what prompted them to remove it. :smiling_face_with_tear:

Hello @SirAcorn and thank you @Erinyes for your correct answer,

Unfortunately, Thwarting Strikes is not part of the available skills on Ice Gauntlet. Please remember you that you can share your thoughts and feelings in the Feedback section of the forums or you can also submit your valuable feedback In-Game by doing the following:

1- Press ā€œEscā€, select Game Menu, and then Submit Feedback.
2- Provide a description of the feedback, rate your experience, and then select Submit.

Hope this helps and see you in Aeternum! :wolf:

Why was it removed? Do you have any insight on that?

would you be able to answer the question above?

Hello @SirAcorn,

Thank you for your follow up question on this matter but I do not have any specifics on why this isn’t there at the time. I stick to my previous suggestion though, since it may actually be considered if enough traction and visibility are put towards it:

Good luck! :wolf:

Didn’t think you really read the ingame feedback.

Hello @DREAMFORGER,

I am sorry to hear that is the impression you get off of that but do rest assured, it is reviewed. If you feel safer by receiving an answer, the forums is your safest go to.

See you in Aeternum! :wolf:
