Timed out while waiting for server to describe the world !help!

Server: El Dorado

I can’t connect to el dorado, but I can connect to other new world servers no problem. I am given the error “Timed out while waiting for server to describe the world.”

I’ve already disabled IPV6, restarted router, verified integrity, reinstalled the game on different HD, deleted the appdata files, reinstalled steam, windows is up to date, disabled AV and firewall. None of it worked.

Please make sure to have the DxDiag and Game Logs ready once you reach support, you can pull it following this steps:

DxDiag report:

• Go to Windows Start search bar and type dxdiag.
• Click on dxdiag.exe.
• When green progress bar goes away, select Save All Information and save the file to their desktop.

GameLogs:

• Game logs can be found on: \Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\AGS\New World\CrashDB\reports\

My problem was fixed automatically when they pushed the new patch this week. I don’t know if it was the server restart or the new patch steam downloaded that did it, all I know is the 5 hours of troubleshooting my own PC was a waste of time as it was clearly on Amazon’s end.

Yeah but I was playing last night fine. It’s this morning now that I’m having the problem, and I see from other threads that the only way it’s fixed is if they restart the server. Which no one is going to do for just me. So I have to wait till the next patch to play with my company? I don’t know what to do.

I could play another game. But I really don’t want to. I was doing stuff and I would like to get back to it. @Wyvernn @Developer @Cactacea @Aenwyn

Apparently from other threads I could create a new character on another server, but whats the point if that’s not where I’m going to really spend my time.

Yes, same thing happened with me, was working one night and in the morning it wasn’t working. Luckily I only wasn’t able to play 24 hours or so before the patch hit.

So I checked my game drivers, and there was new one for me and i now can log in
