Timegates, gear, crafting, and other annoyances

I’m going to leave this list here as a collection of thoughts that I’ve had about how they can make the game better. The general gist is as follows:

At this point time gates aren’t keeping players, they’re probably making players leave. I shouldn’t have to hoard my orbs to use with the right group, or be able to sell them for 40k. Improve crafting. Let players actually be able to switch builds without an insane gold investment. Switching up builds breathes new life into the game for existing players, and it’s next to impossible with current system.

PvP

  • PVP Modes: There need to be more PvP modes. OPR isn’t that great of a mode, especially if you have 1,000 people dropping lag bombs. We need smaller scale things like OPR (would help on less populated servers), and smaller scale wars that people can participate in without having to be in a company that owns WW/EF and drives for top gear. Open world PvP also needs to be improved, but see my comment in crafting about forts for that part
  • PVP Loot: What’s the deal with OPR caches? They were supposed to be an improved way to allow people to gear themselves for PvP by… well, PvPing. Instead they’re just completely garbage caches 99% of the time. I can run a dungeon and get some awesome PVP gear pretty much constantly, but it would take literal months to build a PVP set using OPR caches. These need to be buffed… again.
  • Roots: Roots need to be reworked to at least have diminishing returns. Also Freedom shouldn’t stack. Before you bitch at me about how your freedom gear cost a fortune, I don’t really care. That’s part of the problem. Stuns should also have diminishing returns.

** Crafting / Gathering **

  • Luck/Amor Stands: The entire loot luck system sucks. You should add <Crafting/Luck> Armor stands. They should be 1 per account and they should extract the appropriate crafting/luck bonus and apply it to your character anywhere in the game. So a Harvesting Armor Stand you could put your harvesting set on and have that bonus anywhere… An armoring armor stand would let you put all your armoring gear, etc, etc. No limit to the amount per house, you can put them in any house.
  • Forts: Forts should give +3 to the lower end of crafting, bringing the max roll up to 598-600. This would make forts useful again, and make crafting a little bit less completely fricking terrible than it is right now.
  • Weapon Perks Locked By Stat: Why can a firestaff perk roll on a heavy strength item? That’s really dumb. Fix that. If a main stat roll doesn’t match up with a weapon skill, that perk shouldn’t drop for it.
  • Stat Reroll: There should be some way to reroll 1 stat on an item (and then have it bound to you). Idk what that would look like, but it shouldn’t be insanely grindey. Purple crafted gear that’s upgraded to 600 should be turned legendary with a blank slot, where you could reroll that slot.
  • Craft mods should be changeable: Think the same one you had for mats that made little sense. We should be able to turn out Str+Focus crafting mods into str or con ones. It would bring down the cost of some of these insane mods while also making those actually useful. Same with weapon perk mods.
  • Weaponsmithing pants/hat/other ridiculous drop rate crafting stuff: Make this not suck so bad.

Housing

  • Trophies: Just remove the trophy limit. Not much more needs to be said about that.
  • Legendary Combat Trophy Mats: Same as weaponsmithing pants. The drop rate on these is absurd

Combat

  • Food/Consumable Buffs: Most of these won’t even last through a full Dynasty run. These should last MUCH longer.

Other

  • Gold Cap: Raise it.
  • Trade Window: Allow more than 10 items
  • Orb Time gates: Get rid of them completely
  • Material time gates: You guessed it… get rid of them.
