I did not say that AGS won’t implement any ideas from forum members, I said they won’t implement ideas that’s suggested on this post concerning bots. They don’t even bother banning them even though there are hundreds of bots being reported.
Lets be honest here, players who are not bots at some point have reported multiple bots on their server just to see those bots are still there. NOTHING is being done about this, I dont know if this is because of ignorance, incompetence, understaffing or AGS secretly allow it to happen. My point is if they can’t even stop them by botting, they won’t go the extra mile with changing their codes to implement some of these ideas.
The one and only way to finally be done with the bots is to ruthlessly ban/delete account data of anyone who purchases gold from an RMT site. If they get off their dead asses and do that the bot problem goes away within 48 hours!
You must be new to the game. Hit X your weapon sheaths and you no longer suffer player collision. Plus in the next patch there is no longer player collision.
K, I see what you mean, and I agree with you. We currently only need proof that they are really offline because they have been punished. If AGS silently allows bots activity, the
Block List feature will no longer display Online Status.

Yes, building 4 tents now is not very successful, the bots will automatically perform the Unstuck feature when they are at the same point for a certain time.
Remove buyer means remove Gold Trade feature. I don’t think it’s the right solution, banning the bots one by one is the fastest way. Because a busy server will always be locked so that it avoids bots from creating new accounts.

People who blatantly violate the TOS by purchasing gold via an RMT site should be dealt with ruthlessly. Delete all their assets and permanently ban them.

I am a connoisseur of games like this, Dragon Nest, Far Cry, Genshin Impact, The Forest, and many others that I have played. You are very difficult to understand may your days always be like Monday.
Technically a PvP server with unflag disabled would be the birth of bot hunters. Though I don’t see a PvP server happening which leaves us with very few options. Could counter farm the bot? Follow it, learn its path, then do it in reverse taking each and every node from it leaving it stuck in an endless empty dry run.

Crash a mob onto a bot
Interrupt a bot fighting a mob, body block it, n let the mob kill the bot

Ags gives players a Bot rifle that marks players as “Potential bot” They have to do the actual investigating after. (If Player integrity wasn’t shit)

Haven’t heard of Dragon Nest in awhile. The forest is a cheeky habit of building a fortress in the middle of the ocean for no reason & having a shark farm for less of a reason.
It was simple but effective. It’s just usually under the radar since Highly large title games get all the spot light. But that’s good, we keep all the quirky, unique MMO’s to our selves & they still produce meaningful content.
Make all resources random spawns in both time and location. That’s a pain but it would force the bots into search mode rather than pre planned routing. I’d prefer full loot PVP but that ships sailed.
I hate the full loot pvp idea. Hate the ideas about forced flagging. it would be abused and people would be ganked.

but randomized nodes I can get behind. it would be good for everyone I think. it would fix bots and hardcore campers. and would give everyone a chance to get good things.
I don’t think we need a gm 24/7 but one that was there at least a few hours a day and a few hours at night would be effective. have a report log for them to look at and investigate. spend some time in the reported zones to witness behaviors
Id work on that idea, 7/24 is not efficient as you said but having a admin log into a world for an hour and ppl can show the bots/tell them where they are/hes checking all fishing hotspots and usual bot farming routes in WW for example. that way you can sweep the whole server from all bots every day or every second day. with the bots having to reach lvl 10 to trade banning them every second day that way could probably fix that. Maybe even have a bot report section in the forum with one topic for every server so players can report where they found bots for admins to ban.
This. Two things keep bots in business. Static spawn points for resources, and unguarded nodes. I would recommend maybe keeping the same number of orichalcum nodes in each territory, but randomizing spawn points for 90% of those nodes. Some static nodes make sense if they are obviously there for a reason.
Edit: also…bots in general. Is the reporting system working? I have seen obvious bots camping out and running routes for the past couple of months. They are constantly reported, not only by me, but by others…but they are still there. It is really odd because I have not seen gold sell spam in a while, but the number of bots has not gone down, which suggests these are player-controlled. It is often members of the same company doing this too. The idea of an admin or some sort of monitoring that looks for patterns in playstyle is a good idea. These bots spend 90-100% of their time in just one area, constantly camping nodes or running around. They don’t do missions, they don’t do OPR, they are never seen in a city or town as far as I can tell. The only monitoring I have seen so far is the fishing monitoring…which always hits me just as I catch a fish LOL.
