All this I did with a clear windows installation. I can do DDU for graphics card but audio driver comes from windows update. Event windows, error unkown… Antivirus is windows defenfer.
Game reinstalled, DDU and drivers of GPU and Audio reinstalled on Safe Mode. Game still crash…

I have the same problem
with a i7 9700k and 2080 super
on 1920x1080 all on low settings…
crash everytime in 5 a 10 minutes.
impossible to play.
Running at system requirements with a GTX 970, getting a random black screen flicker and then the visuals in the game freeze.
Not sure where/how to send a support ticket.

Same issues here. I have updated all my drivers and ensured integrity of the game. I also have an AMD CPU

I’m back, those days I was lucky to play with another computer (i7-7700k and NVIDIA GTX 1080).
Now I’m back to my computer, I tested your solution @moby1kanob and I got crash.
Finally NW generate a dmp file, I update this topic. Supports check my OneDrive link (6th folder) where is the dmp and log info.
Patch 1.0.1 doesn’t fix this issue.
Yep im still getting it. Weeks of this and nothing from the devs officially.
i had same thing, my gpu is 980.
what i did is change In-game setting.
Visual->MaxFPS switch to 60. V-sync OFF.
And switch to low for every Details if that doesn’t work.

Thank you for the report. Im sorry for the issue you have. Please try the following. Close and relaunch the Steam client. Then go to Steam Support :: Verify Integrity of Game Files in order to Verify Integrity of Game Files. Then wait for 15 minutes and try to go back to the game.
Makes sure to check as well:
Antivirus is not blocking the game nor Steam client.
Bios is really up to date.
Make sure to update and check New World Compatible GPU Driver Update - Support
- Crashing usually happens on systems running older versions of Windows. Be sure to confirm that the system meets minimum requirements to run the game.
- Repair or install C++ redistributable (game uses 2015-2017 C++ files, found here: The latest supported Visual C++ downloads). It’s important that players either download the x86 or x64 file version, depending on their specific version of Windows.
You can also attempt to use the SFC tool built into Windows: Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files.
And make sure to look for the game directory, and then select the subfolder “EasyAntiCheat.” Click EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe to run the installer as admin, repair if needed and relaunch the game when complete.
Note: Installation directory for Steam Games will generally be under: C:\Program Files\Steam (x86)\SteamApps\Common
If you read my topic you’ll see that I did almos everything that you said. Also, I checked missing or corrupted system files (everything is fine) and rerun EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe (the executable requires run as admin, I don’t needed to specify). My antivirus is not blocking, Bios is update (if you read my topic), my drivers and windows are update (if you read my topic), I reinstalled the C++ redistributable (if you read my topic). All files are verified…

Note: The common steam directory installation games is not C:\Program Files\Steam (x86)\SteamApps\Common. The correct directory is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common
Delete specific game files
You should back up the files before deleting in case things go wrong.
- On your keyboard, press Win+R (the Windows logo key and the R key) to invoke the Run box. Type or paste %appdata% and click OK.
- Go to AGS > New World and delete the following:
- The savedata folder
- The user_preload_settings file
- Now you can restart New World and see if the game crashes again.

That doesn’t helps. Still crash I did more than 48 hours troubleshoting during close/open beta and release.

Snoop Dogg smoke weed everyday.
I play and crash New World everyday.
If you’re still crashing try disabling ICEsound services on services. Its worth a try I’ve been playing for almost 5hrs and I have yet to crash. I usually crash 10sec-20min
