To the Devs, a snapshot into a player's morning

In the end you said this with absolutely nothing to back it.

Your ability to be so condescending and dismissive to people working over time to give you these updates.

You wanna talk moot points but havent saidanythibg factual?

How do you think patching happens? How do you think these updates happen? How nany people are in the office?

How many times does your karen like needs want justificaton to pressure and criticize people not at fault…?
So you blame them for the net code…? You blame them for not having money to only support one game after their first project failed?
You have any actual numbers or care about the ecoomy outsids of your in game trade post?

Do you cars if the workers get covid? Spend time with their family?
Inbetween these updates all you people do is freakin complain for EVERY fix they try to implement.

Yes they turned off market to stop the duping.
Simple. Now they are working on ways to stop it consistently.
But people keep BLAMING the devs instead of people breaking the game. So no the devs dont have to rebuttal this ignorance.
You either dont care or going out your way to stress a small team of developers out
Msybe do research on how many people are TRYING to keep the game running. Maybe see if they have health problems or deserve time off before flapping your gums about this so called toxic community that doesnt cater to your whims on a dime.

People abswer.
Stop baiting responses.
Stop trolling the devs.

Clean up the forums and be mature.
Holy hell . yoh went through a whole day of gaming and still complain??? Thry couldve turned the game OFF instead but you complain cause they allow you to enjoy yourself while patching?

I really think this community of promoting their own toxic ideals at the game is obnoxious and becoming more and more irritating

Stop giving cheaters a slap on the wrist. We don’t want them in our community - ban them for good.

They don’t care enough about the game anyways to support any chance of longevity.

They already paid for the game but they violated terms which would prohibit any sort of refund.

I really liked your story up until this point, it felt relatable and I felt a real connection to your story, probably as do many others do…

And then it turned into another one of them posts and I lost interest.

Keep writing, I look forward to buying your new world life biography publication.

And there is an evidence of education lack. I am not native speak english.

… and yet you choose to communicate in a language that you have difficulty communicating in.

Ok. I take it back. You are smart and make good decisions.

lol

And that right there is a pretty good insight into what could happen.

People are reading the point of this post as the TP being shut down again. That’s not it.

I really wanted the devs to see how they’ve created a game where every simple action is a pita to the casual player. As I said, if their goal was to create a toxic sandbox, then good job. If not, they need to rethink some things:
Constant invasions
Crafting downgrades
Out of control Azoth travel
Crazy taxing

Now we add the TP getting shut down, which would be fine, except they also didn’t freeze the taxes, listing expirations, invasions, etc.

We also have crafting nerfs looming and nerfs to FS and LS.

It’s a lot. There’s no shame in rethinking some of these choices. Both EQ2 and ESO were horrible at launch. Their devs put some thought into their games, reworked them, and ended up with great games. I’m not asking for easy mode. I started in EQ1. But the current state of things in NW is insanity.

I hope these devs will listen to their players. I know I’m not the only one who loves the game but feels like the current path is untenable.

Thank you honey. I love you too

I too am upset about a lot of their changes but it’s a side step, and maybe one that will end up being amazing and resulting in great results.

Unfortunately the lack of transparency or direction means we are left in the dark and left to wonder…

Tired old argument is tired.

As I’ve pointed out several times, every MMO has had multiple duplication issues. So far as I’m aware, only AGS responds by shutting down wealth transfers. So, either every MMO ever has a destroyed economy, or maybe the sky isn’t falling because there are some duped goods that will be removed from the system in good time.

Want to know what destroys an economy? Removing the ability of players to interact with it.

So let cheaters continue cheating lol…

Server shutdown

Bezos…'nuf said. :magnet: :money_with_wings: :poop: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: :face_vomiting:

It doesn’t take a genius, or even a developer, to come up with short-term solutions that are markedly less drastic than shutting down the entire economy.

Like what? Even if they need to find cheater querying the database if the database is evolving is very tedious…

But If I like you hear your eaasy solutions, maybe they read too.

See? Right away you came up with a potential alternative approach that doesn’t affect current gameplay at all. As for the issue you bring up, take a snapshot of the DB.

I’ll give you another potential solution. When Wildstar had economic issues relating to a piece of housing furniture, they disabled that recipe. Here, NW is having an issue with duplicating furniture having something to do with placement in a house (I don’t know the details). So, disable the ability to place that item. Or, worst case, disable the ability to place furniture in houses. That’s drastic, but nowhere near as drastic as shutting down the entire economy.

Right now, AGS has a hammer, and they are responding as though every problem is a nail. Sometimes the problem is an ant. On a glass table. With your kid crawling underneath it.

As soon as the first dupe wave happened (and it lasted a while) the economy was already ruined for the rest of us. High end mats and armor nearly 10x’d its price after this first wave…

Expecting sales : weird gamestyle, but sure. Not too bad to wait a few days. Quite normal for MMO’s
Downgraded crafting station : part of the game. Nothing bad.
Fast traveling full inventory = expensive : part of game, nothing bad. Quite easy to play around.
Temporarly disabled coin transfer : temporarly, nothing bad, as in it’s to combat duping.

Do you start your day to look at all the hyped reddit articles to load up the game and try everything that’s not working on that day… to go on the forums and complain that it’s not working?

Either stop playing the game enitrely, or learn the fact that sometimes you can’t do -everything- you like to be doing. It’s called growing up and in MMO(rpg) very normal.

I wouldnt read a book about someone feeling entitled to get all the gold and rewards everyday… When it’s an mmo… And just released and they see the problems but double down on attacking the devs instead of using their accountability skills to say smth like" i love this game i play it cause i bought it and read the reviews. I knew what i was getting into."

But literally the same posts over and over

" ohmshgawsh. I cant believe i cant do something cause of the game being fixed. Omg just give me my stuff. I work hard."

Like yo.
Go read a book and wait for the to implement the damn patch.

most the people complaining have chosen to not read patch notes or dont understand the process to fixing these bugs .

Childish arguements with people who dont care how the game is fixed. Just fix now. Give me money now. I deserve reprarations and rewards for my time or im quitting.

Like… What on earth happen to supporting the game?

What reviews, like everyone else we bought it at release assuming it was a completed game, because they said it was completed, not alpha.

We stopped after 6 weeks of the devs spewing bullshit probably coming from the retards higher up who don’t know how to manage a game and released it early.
