I too am upset about a lot of their changes but it’s a side step, and maybe one that will end up being amazing and resulting in great results.
Unfortunately the lack of transparency or direction means we are left in the dark and left to wonder…

Tired old argument is tired.
As I’ve pointed out several times, every MMO has had multiple duplication issues. So far as I’m aware, only AGS responds by shutting down wealth transfers. So, either every MMO ever has a destroyed economy, or maybe the sky isn’t falling because there are some duped goods that will be removed from the system in good time.
Want to know what destroys an economy? Removing the ability of players to interact with it.

It doesn’t take a genius, or even a developer, to come up with short-term solutions that are markedly less drastic than shutting down the entire economy.
Like what? Even if they need to find cheater querying the database if the database is evolving is very tedious…

See? Right away you came up with a potential alternative approach that doesn’t affect current gameplay at all. As for the issue you bring up, take a snapshot of the DB.
I’ll give you another potential solution. When Wildstar had economic issues relating to a piece of housing furniture, they disabled that recipe. Here, NW is having an issue with duplicating furniture having something to do with placement in a house (I don’t know the details). So, disable the ability to place that item. Or, worst case, disable the ability to place furniture in houses. That’s drastic, but nowhere near as drastic as shutting down the entire economy.
Right now, AGS has a hammer, and they are responding as though every problem is a nail. Sometimes the problem is an ant. On a glass table. With your kid crawling underneath it.
As soon as the first dupe wave happened (and it lasted a while) the economy was already ruined for the rest of us. High end mats and armor nearly 10x’d its price after this first wave…
Expecting sales : weird gamestyle, but sure. Not too bad to wait a few days. Quite normal for MMO’s
Downgraded crafting station : part of the game. Nothing bad.
Fast traveling full inventory = expensive : part of game, nothing bad. Quite easy to play around.
Temporarly disabled coin transfer : temporarly, nothing bad, as in it’s to combat duping.
Do you start your day to look at all the hyped reddit articles to load up the game and try everything that’s not working on that day… to go on the forums and complain that it’s not working?
Either stop playing the game enitrely, or learn the fact that sometimes you can’t do -everything- you like to be doing. It’s called growing up and in MMO(rpg) very normal.
I wouldnt read a book about someone feeling entitled to get all the gold and rewards everyday… When it’s an mmo… And just released and they see the problems but double down on attacking the devs instead of using their accountability skills to say smth like" i love this game i play it cause i bought it and read the reviews. I knew what i was getting into."

What reviews, like everyone else we bought it at release assuming it was a completed game, because they said it was completed, not alpha.
We stopped after 6 weeks of the devs spewing bullshit probably coming from the retards higher up who don’t know how to manage a game and released it early.

The devs even made a post saying the game isnt where they want it to be. So you want them full on embaress themselves? So the forums can castrate them for admitting working on an mmo is hard?

If that’s truly the case then i dont feel bad for anyone who isnt enjoying themselves. Cause they chose to ignore all the signs and when they use the already admitted bugs as a platform to complain it’s not criticism it’s nagging.

You cant blame the developers if you choose not to do research. You cant blame the developers if the game has performance issues while they work on it. And just cause alotvof games lied about their features doesnt mean new world lied.

Lazy peon and potion shop are pretty big mmo channels.
Alot of honest streamers said the game would need an assload of work but for 40 dollars you can be entertained and find adventure.
The end game content is what’s mostly messed up atp.
New players have been having an amazing time if you interact with them at amrine or stars. Or read their forum posts. It’s the journey mate.
You aint wrong on that last part. The journey to level 60 was worth the 40$ alone. I could definitely stand to take a step back and appreciate that perspective, as could most of us. The problem is it’s an MMO, the journey to 60 is kinda not what I came for.

I was also contributing to the narrative there was nothing to do for a while till i tried everything.
It’s fun and keeps me entertained for hours if you enjoy what tools you already have.
You know the outfitting bug? Or armoring bug?
Just cause you cant use one thing doesnt mean you cant use another. You know? It might be frustrating but you work around problems all the time.
To me the real game is challenging.
Solving exactly what you want for the day in an mmo is akin to planning out your day irl.
Just an adventure. Things go wrong but that’s life.
I see it as you just broke your pan. So while you wait for a new one you use the pots. You know? Your tastes arent just refined but diverse.
Tldr : what do you want out of this compared to what is actually given?
What did better? Our server’s all people already have duplicated trophy, full server 2k people or more… i can’t count. Price for Chef’s Secret Techniques - around 200-300, Chef’s Secret Cookbook - 400-500, 70%+ have x3 Major Loot Luck trophy. Also 100 or more bots, economy fully dead, prices for Iron Ore ~ 0.05-0.10 its maximum!!! What do you expect they doing better? explain to me. Delete duplicted trophy? NO, they only ban people for Minimap and continue doing rubish updates, instead of take 10 game masters and read reports.
It gets harder n harder to login.
I’ve had a tonne of furniture stuck in my inventory for the last 10 days…

I just want my server to be merged with the world set like they originally said was there plan, if I knew it’d take this long I probably wouldn’t have bought it.
I want that because I want to pvp with the friends and enemies I’ve made plus new ones.
And I can’t because opr only starts up if I start begging people for 1-2hours. Wars almost never happen because theres never enough for 50v50, invasions ect ect ect. The game doesn’t work at low populations very well.
