I thought it was a bit of general culture that the Americas were called the New World, and Europe was called the Old World.
I thought the name was an obvious implication that Aeternum replaces America in the game. (How else the Chinese empress reaches Aeternum without finding America first?) Hence, it is the continent getting the “New World” moniker in this timeline.

Also… is this not supposedly a full release? Why am I sending bug reports and QA’ing a full release product?
This game truly is an early access alpha.
Totally agree whole team should be kicked out (Scot Lane first), and game should be pulled back to beta. That’s what should happen, it’s the reality.

Yeah to be honest I can’t imagine that everyone on the New World team will be keeping their jobs after this. I work in the software development world and while some bugs are expected, depending on the severity, some heads need to roll. That would certainly be the case here, given the sheer quantity and significance, and more importantly, the very visible negative publicity. This can be a good thing, a single bad egg team or product leader can fuck it up across several teams. Lets hope they do this and find the right ones.

These bugs should have been identified in the Alphas and Betas.
And they were.
And the bugs were registered.
And they weren’t fixed, and the game was released.
Who do you think is the responsibility of releasing the game while there is a backlog of hundreds of game-breaking bugs? The dev team?
Not really. It’s not the dev team who decides when the game is released to the public, even if it’s broken.

Jsut open a petition maybe bezos will happiely fund the game with a billion pocket money so they can develop the game to a release state any time soon ^^. Right now we got the same thing like (almost) everywhere else: A payed beta that looses players left and right because it wasn’t ready to be released and a Devteam that most likly works crunch time to get everything done what opens the door the new proplems because they are most likely overworked.
