Don’t forget to check the Known Issues List to see if your issue is currently being worked on by the dev team.
We also have existing workaround for some issues that you can find here:
- Describe the issue you are experiencing: when using the tooltip in the outfitting station to display base stats for “dress” armor types, the stats for the tier 2 version are shown for all versions.
- Is this a bug or an exploit: bug
- (if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay: I was initially confused
- (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: The tooltip is wrong, but the actual items have the correct expected stats.
- (if a bug) Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced: unfortunately, I can’t seem to screenshot the tooltip text.
- What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: Use the tooltip in the outfitting station.
This first came to my attention in a thread in which the claim was made that female characters are an afterthought, and as evidence of this pointed out that the stats for “silk shirt” (the unisex/male item) are much better than “silk dress,” according to the base stats that the outfitting station shows. I didn’t believe it so I went to look for myself.
Here’s the post I was checking: Why Are There NO Playable Female Characters? - #124 by BurningKat
Sure enough, in the outfitting station when you look at the stats for various dresses, most of them are wrong.
“Linen Dress” (tier 2) for level 5 character shows gear score of 200 and armor rating of 53.2 for both elemental and physical damage. This makes sense, and is identical to “Linen Shirt.”
However, these are the same exact stats shown with the tooltip for “Sateen Dress” (tier 3), “Silk Dress” (tier 4), and “Infused Silk Dress” (tier 5). These items should be shown to have base gear scores and armor ratings to mach “Sateen Shirt,” “Silk Shirt,” and “Infused Silk Shirt,” gear scores 300, 400, and 500 respectively, with armor ratings of 86.9, 122.8, and 160.5.
Fortunately, when actually crafting the items they have stats that are consistent with their respective tiers (at least for the items I tested), and in line with what you’d expect for the equivalent “shirt” items.
