On my server now, all endgame zones are pushed with like 60+ people. They basically try to head out with 6 or more full parties, but way more people show up. It’s a pure zerg fest, everything is frozen in place, people are crashing left and right, but it’s seems to be the only way to progress now.
I followed a PVP flagged company around to every elite zone yesterday. Must of been like 60 or more or them. It was funny however watching the randomly flagged people get steam rolled.
As I said, I’ve been farming this place a long time as a 5 man. We still 5 man it, going with 9 people is dumb, only bad / new / casuals Zerg this place. You guys have to, I get it. It’s hard.
The archers that you claim don’t exist? The sagattari archers? There’s lots. Feel free to look them up on new world database, or new world map, both of those websites can show you them. Alternatively you could go there and see them yourself, but then you’d kind of expose yourself.
Why would I use an opal and force myself to dodge and never have full stamina, when I could run a sapphire and have stamina whenever I need it. 100% uptime vs some uptime. Easy choice for an actual neckbeard.
I’d dignify you with more of my time, but you’ve shown that your understandings of this game are elementary, you don’t 5 man content and lose out on drops, you can’t identify basic mobs in end game zones, and you use subpar gems.

I’m not whining that I have nothing to do, if your reading comprehension was beyond that of a 3rd grade student you’d fully understand that I was merely giving feedback about their latest patch.
Specifically I was addressing their elite zones buffs that have made that part of the game less fun. I’ll say it one more time, perhaps it will sink in the changes to the elite zone has made that part of the game less fun. I know that reading this will likely push your comprehension and deduction skills to their very limits, but I have faith that even you can understand what I’ve said.
Beyond that, I have lots to do in this game still, I’ve yet to even bother attempting to craft my jewelry, I haven’t got all the legendary weapons from the dungeons (some not all) and I have some trade skills I’ve yet to level
Would you like to measure swords? I can gladly stream my account under the condition that you do the same. I would be more than happy to clip it, and your face, when you see how many materials I’m sitting on, how much gold I have, and the gear I’m wearing.
I would then of course take the screen shots I have of your replies, and post them along with the clip on Reddit to further shame you.

Well, its 4 days later. They’ve lost another 50% of their players. Players have screamed and begged them to revert these changes, this draconian new patch has all but killed the game.
I’m going to go enjoy the next few weeks of new world, it’ll be the last before the game is down to 20-30k players and the company closes the servers.
Myrk? Most fun in Scorpius. 50lvl elite tentacle takes 5 minutes to be spammed by 600gs mage. Two adds of Eridanus have twice more hp each than Eridanus himself. Skysong temple - some random trash have more hp than last boss of Dynasty. Malevolance - druids hp buffed to amount of Captain Thorpe… and so on.
I have only one question - What is the reason for this changes?
In simple words:
The scaling makes running any dungeon from lvl 5 to lvl 60+ too tedious without the proper xp or loot rewards to make it worthwhile.
Don’t take something that used to take like 20 minutes to complete for casual non-decked out players and make it take an hr, cost too much gold and resources to gear up for, and then you get some crappy weapon xp, crappy character xp, crappy loot drops, crappy chest drops, wasted azoth travelling there for a crap experience.
I made a post complaining how I ran deadmans with a group of 45+ I went with a 5 group and there was a 3 group in there too. It was so tedious for us to beat up on lvl 25 enemies. The group of pirate bosses took like 5 mins each to kill minimum because the HP scaling was so high.
And all we got was way worse loot that even I wouldn’t have touched at lvl 25, and the same 1-10xp peer kill. The least, THE LEAST they could’ve done was increase the weapon xp gained cause they know people use deadmans to lvl weapons. I logged off right after that run and have been rejecting deadman’s runs since.
When people ask me now what is the best way to lvl up weapons I kid you not I tell them go to high lvl zones S O L O. Cause if you go in a group the shit will scale, you won’t get good rewards for the effort and resources used.
You’re 100% right to me. The only things this game has is war, opr, crafting, and group elites. And they messed up the one out of the 4 that low lvl, casual players, and high lvl sweatlords do regularly. This idea was a mistake and needed to be gone days ago.
There’s nothing simple, like im having problems reading all that.
AGS should
put a cap on stats mobs get (resistances are the most important, armor, magic)
lower the stats mobs get (armor, magic)
lower the damage needed to tag the mob
lower the base damage on the knight in Myrk, he is nasty with the scalling
The way it is now , the effective HP is a bit too much and 5-10 people have the most problems, 30 man zergs, not so much.
The simple part was the first sentence, everything below that was an elaboration.
Your solution would take way too long to implement when they can just simply not get the HP scaling buff so dramatically, or at all. But to go and adjust all their resistances and damages for each enemy type? Then every time people find something broken for certain enemy types they have to test and re-adjust all those numbers? That would be a pain on the programmers to keep making those kind of patches.
Can you go ahead and thoroughly read the post again? He never mentioned soloing myrk, and he never said there’s no endgame content. His input mentioned the changes made had made the fun he did have go away because he actually has finished all endgame content. The entire reason of his post is mentioning that the final end of end game content was made too time consuming to enjoy.
Gtk, hopefully then they will actually rework all that crap or the HP scaling cause out of everything in this patch, this group scaling rework is the most mentally exhausting one for some of us.

Elite zones need more interesting monsters, like expedition bosses, where you actually need a strat to kill them.
You can make a game more difficult in other ways than just making enemies hit harder and tank more…
Very well said and I agree 100%. The only thing to do prior to this last patch was to do Mines/Myrk/Pools/ and RW Pirate Farms as a 5 man or find someone that has an orb for Genesis or Laz. The end game is literally not worth the time invested and has taken all the hours spent farming to get up to that point a waste. They have already lost a lot of players and I have put my 800 hour char on the shelf for now. The more casual players have no idea what they did but will find out when they hit 60. When they do, they will leave quicker than those of us that geared ourselves for the most part already. If they don’t fix this, the game is over.
