In simple words:
The scaling makes running any dungeon from lvl 5 to lvl 60+ too tedious without the proper xp or loot rewards to make it worthwhile.
Don’t take something that used to take like 20 minutes to complete for casual non-decked out players and make it take an hr, cost too much gold and resources to gear up for, and then you get some crappy weapon xp, crappy character xp, crappy loot drops, crappy chest drops, wasted azoth travelling there for a crap experience.
I made a post complaining how I ran deadmans with a group of 45+ I went with a 5 group and there was a 3 group in there too. It was so tedious for us to beat up on lvl 25 enemies. The group of pirate bosses took like 5 mins each to kill minimum because the HP scaling was so high.
And all we got was way worse loot that even I wouldn’t have touched at lvl 25, and the same 1-10xp peer kill. The least, THE LEAST they could’ve done was increase the weapon xp gained cause they know people use deadmans to lvl weapons. I logged off right after that run and have been rejecting deadman’s runs since.
When people ask me now what is the best way to lvl up weapons I kid you not I tell them go to high lvl zones S O L O. Cause if you go in a group the shit will scale, you won’t get good rewards for the effort and resources used.
You’re 100% right to me. The only things this game has is war, opr, crafting, and group elites. And they messed up the one out of the 4 that low lvl, casual players, and high lvl sweatlords do regularly. This idea was a mistake and needed to be gone days ago.
There’s nothing simple, like im having problems reading all that.
AGS should
put a cap on stats mobs get (resistances are the most important, armor, magic)
lower the stats mobs get (armor, magic)
lower the damage needed to tag the mob
lower the base damage on the knight in Myrk, he is nasty with the scalling
The way it is now , the effective HP is a bit too much and 5-10 people have the most problems, 30 man zergs, not so much.
The simple part was the first sentence, everything below that was an elaboration.
Your solution would take way too long to implement when they can just simply not get the HP scaling buff so dramatically, or at all. But to go and adjust all their resistances and damages for each enemy type? Then every time people find something broken for certain enemy types they have to test and re-adjust all those numbers? That would be a pain on the programmers to keep making those kind of patches.
Can you go ahead and thoroughly read the post again? He never mentioned soloing myrk, and he never said there’s no endgame content. His input mentioned the changes made had made the fun he did have go away because he actually has finished all endgame content. The entire reason of his post is mentioning that the final end of end game content was made too time consuming to enjoy.
Gtk, hopefully then they will actually rework all that crap or the HP scaling cause out of everything in this patch, this group scaling rework is the most mentally exhausting one for some of us.

Elite zones need more interesting monsters, like expedition bosses, where you actually need a strat to kill them.
You can make a game more difficult in other ways than just making enemies hit harder and tank more…
Very well said and I agree 100%. The only thing to do prior to this last patch was to do Mines/Myrk/Pools/ and RW Pirate Farms as a 5 man or find someone that has an orb for Genesis or Laz. The end game is literally not worth the time invested and has taken all the hours spent farming to get up to that point a waste. They have already lost a lot of players and I have put my 800 hour char on the shelf for now. The more casual players have no idea what they did but will find out when they hit 60. When they do, they will leave quicker than those of us that geared ourselves for the most part already. If they don’t fix this, the game is over.
The armored ones get crazy tanky, if you have a bad luck to get a armored, and hearty mobs it’s the worse.
5-10 man got the short stick the most, zergs walks through everything, even if you die there’s 30 people to res you… and not all servers have the population to do this.
The lower drop rates for armor is fine (encourages crafting, for next releases, doesn’t devaluate currency), just keep it constant for a while, or minor tweaks, but it needs to be constant, need to have predictable changes. As for weapons, you get the same amount.
We have the same problem. We are always 5-10 people with 750-800 hours, coincap, most/all tradeskills on 200, 600 armor/weapon/jewelry, 59X watermark and so on…
Killing the stupid hp sponges takes forever and is no fun at all. The loot became very unrewarding - myrk is waste of time.
I get headaches from these retarded 50 player zergruns for elite chests, they are NO FUN. NO FUN AT ALL. Its a laggy, lowfps and bodyblocking mess and currently the only way to loot though myrk. We had some “new players” experienced the buffed version of myrk in a stupid zerg train. And you know what? They all left new world with a “goodbye nw, you were great friends but the endgame (= myrk zerg runs) sucks”-post in our discord.
Here is the solution:
Lower the damage of commanders. (Impossible to tank with 10 highend players: 2 tanks, 2 heal, 6 DD)
Lower the stupid hp amount of all mobs there. Hitting trainingdummys is NO FUN.
Fix the loot.
Largescale pve content is not working. Myrk is too small and too laggy for this. Design an open area for stuff like this, if you want zerg runs. Keep myrk a place for 5-10 player groups.
You basically decreased the endgame activities by 1/3 - now only reekwater and mines are possible, without getting cancer from zergruns.
No you pepega, its a conscious design change that already was explained by devs on a previous post. They literally want it to be the way it is right now xD
