Mostly i only get 8-9 Topaz.
No i have not missed any bags and i am mostly solo so nobody else from my group could have killed something near me and i havent noticed it.
Its very rare that i get 10 Topaz since it has been released.
About 90 % of the time i get 8 Topaz within 30 minutes and then it just stops dropping so i waste another 30 minutes of my time because of the remaining potion duration.

Same has happened to me.
Yep I get 8 or 9 then nothing usually
My wife and I have also seen bags inside hillsides that are only visible if you stand directly on them. The bags sometimes contain the topaz.
