If they get a hardware ban then they cant do shit period lol. I’ve seen people on Modern Warfare hacking and getting HWID bans and even when those dumb shits switched the GPU, MB etc… They still couldn’t play lmfao
Just throwing it out there … HWID’s are only a speed bump, at best.
There is no “true” hardware identifier that cannot be spoofed - especially, when you consider that most duping exploits make use of mule virtual machines.
- If the MAC address is used in the HWID generator, change the MAC.
- If it’s pegged off of CPUID, change the model using VMWare EVC or some other equally accessible technology.
- On and on …
Steam family sharing only compounds the problem.
Until the actual issues are fixed and the transactions are made truly atomic regardless of lag, these issues will never go away.

No offense AGS But I don’t trust you guys to ban anyone for duping or exploiting since you can’t even track who is doing it.
For the record The gold/item duping still works. I know for a fact Purple faction on my server has been doing it and still doing it since almost all of their members are in full voidbent. and are now selling it in masses on the server. Thanks for nothing AGS. Keep up the great work!

"In the announcement yesterday that they were restoring wealth/trade, they actually provided a link in that same announcement to an updated ‘Disabling Wealth/Trade’ post which specifically stated: “We are still working on fixes for the exploits addressed in this notice.”
It does NOT appear that Amazon Games put a fix into place in this patch/update last night to prevent the gold/item duplication exploit as they specifically attached a link with a 2 hour old update within their restoring trade announcement stating that they were still working on a ‘fix’.
In fairness, a thread was created to directly ask Amazon Games for clarification on whether a dupe exploit fix was being implemented with the enabling of trading (which they previously promised would happen before restore) and they refused to reply even though they were active in other posts on the forum at the time.
In all appearance, Amazon Games stated they were taking trading down until ‘fixed’, took trade down and realized they could not handle a ‘fix’ in a timely manner so they decided to reenable trading while slipping the "we are still working on a ‘fix’ for this exploit’ in a link within the announcement. If this is the case, pretty slippery Amazon Games
Neither this post nor the thread asking for clarification on whether a dupe fix was implemented last night with the reenabling of trade is intended to debate whether trade should resume, the purpose is simply to get a straight answer on whether a fix was even implemented with the restoration of trade as Amazon Games previously indicated would happen."
so some of us are questiong if there even was a “fix” for gold+item dupes or they just enabling trading again for the last ride to hell.

Bans are the first step, they had to create new char, steam family will be the next, but how can you stop steam family? May I know how ags can stop it? Isn’t it steam features, I’m just curious
If you read the explanation, they banned the dupers, and placed a system to prevent future exploits, some golds are also reverted and some voidbent items not tradeable
Yeah but up until right now the dupes go on further and further, there not over yet. And the trading ist still enabled idk where this should end tbh.

Oh another badass software developer here, that’s what hackers do, find a way to exploit softwares…
what an answer to massive issues affecting all players in the economy which are currently live on servers…
just close your eyes put your fingers in the ears and maybe then there you have a a fix from them that actually works.

Nah, I hate the issues to and the dupes, but the way you address software developer is like you are bad ass at coding, like its a walk in the park, anyway don’t want to argue here, you can ride your high horse and feel special, its the “forums” you can be anyone you want

Hello, can I message you about less public dupes that are harder to do but exists?
New World logs every action in the game from the trading windows for gold duping to someone buying something from the auction house. Everything is cluttered in log files. So my question is, have you actually gone through all the log files and banned people? Because honestly, I don’t think you have. I honestly think less than the 1/3 of the population doing the gold dupe actually got banned. Also, I would like to bring up why are you guys skirting the issue of actually taking care of the problem fully. Why no hardware bans? It would not only benefit the players who are on the forums but the community as a whole if you actually listed the punishment for doing these kinds of things. Just saying we will take care of it does nothing. But if I say hardware bans will be issued for anyone trying to gold dupe. That right there within itself will make some people rethink their actions. Honestly Be harsher, what I am trying to get at is there have been so many issues that trust in the devs and Amazon Games has diminished to the point of saying we will take care of it doesn’t work. We don’t trust you. Point blank. You guys have dropped the ball too many times to count at this point. Not trying to be rude, just being honest. So I apologize if this hurts your feelings. Start listing the actual bans and start taking action other than skirting everything and posting 1 hour before you take the servers down and call it planned maintenance. You are a billion dollar company with indie results.
