Trade packs, trade packs, trade packs.
This is the way to save New World in every way.
For those who know, it’s the same concept as in ArcheAge.
The concept is this: “Trade packs” can be crafted at a special vendor. There is one of these vendors in each settlement. Trade packs can be crafted from different resources, with packs made by higher tier resources costing more gold to craft. These packs can be turned in at other settlements in the world, with distance of settlement of creation to settlement of delivery determining how much gold is rewarded for a completed delivery. Further deliveries give more gold. The gold reward for a delivery is always at least several times more than the initial investment.
The catch is this – you are automatically flagged for PvP with a trade pack on your back and if you die while delivering, you drop your pack on the ground for someone else to pick up and complete the delivery.
This mechanic innately:
-
Gives value to and creates need for all resources
-
Encourages flagging for PvP and venturing into the world
-
Creates endless content based around PvP and PvE
-
Creates a source for more gold to be injected into the game, solving the current gold deflation issue
